Well its been a spectacular as yesterday i lumped on just one horse ORDER of ST GEORGE and today i lumped solely on QUIET REFLECTION and both Won @ 10/11 & 7/4 so thats a nice double boom for me ;-))...so in total ive had 4 Naps this week with 3 Winners @ 13/2 , 10/11 and 7/4 and this is ably backed up bu no less than 11 other winners over the 3 days..or 2 and a half if being literal so i say thats good going.

Order of St George was a gimme at the odds and Karl Burke wouldn't hear of defeat for Quiet Reflection so two obvious max bets just a shame Shinny was a big disappointment.

Rest of today well i quite fancy a run from Girling at decent odds in the finale but its all about tmrw now....

EXOSPHERE looks an outstanding prospect and will be in the money for sure , Sir Issac Newton will be a big double figured price now and i simply have to spunk some loose change away EW on that.

Would be nice to See FRANKKUS run a decent race as i rate him better than his half brother and at around 8/1 running for MJ looks to have more than a sporting chance.

I will be on THE TIN MAN EW as always with all bets in combs in available as this has an outstanding chance win and place chance and i very much doubt if this will not run into the money however Twilight Son should be had as a saver as this is another very useful sprinter.

I think Spring Loaded has earned his place at the table and at 20/1 looks to be another real sporting ew punt..tricky race but worth a small invest.

Sandro Bottecelli in the Finale should give punters some fun for the money...

The Saturday NAP is an EW on the very exciting EXOSPHERE.

Good Luck and happy punting.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frankkus ran 5th after weakening in the final 1f beaten less than 3L and only 1L behind his brother so a fair run with more to come and still on my tracker list.

BOOOOM as finally Sir Issac Newton lives upto some of the hype by Winning the Wolfreton at an excellent 7/1 !!!...outstanding price and a very tidy win.

Not a Boom...as all the good work is undone on Exsophere who was unplaced at a very tiny 6/4 a price that saved me money as i put less on because of the price..sounds crazy ight..but thats value betting...none the less it was a very disappointing run.

The Tin Man ran a shocker to come down the field however Henry Candy's charge won so i made some profit.

RACE 1
The JERSEY STAKES , a race for those that cant really stay a decent mile and those not really upto Class 1.

I think Thikriyaat could be amazing as it has a profile of greatness however im concerned its not been out yet so i will be staying with old friend GIFTED MASTER as i look to nail in some EW profits.
This is a decent horse a very decent sprinter but a horse versatile enough to win over 1m last season so the step from 6 to 7 will be no problem and i think 8/1 or better is a bet worth having.

RACE 2
The QUEEN MARY and this is a total crapfest however i think the best bet for me here is to Marry Medley.

That said i do think the Wesley Ward runner LADY AUREALIA could be rather special based on a lto dirt win when she cantered in by 8L.

RACE 3
The Duke of Cambridge Stakes is next and its a 1m race for fillies.
USHERETTE is good enough for me , will love the going the trip and is a proven graded runner but is a shitty price at around 2/1....but if i can squiggle some 5/2 i will get involved.

RACE 4
PRINCE OF WALES STAKES

A SHIN HIKARI will simply piss this on all known form and any amount of figures and data ruined a solid field in the soft in France lto i really like this raider...NAP and wallet emptying time.

RACE 5
The Royal Cunt Hup

A race for the needy and greedy....But if i had to have a go it would be on a big spread dutch on the Boys in Blue as there runners look different class to these work a day handicappers and class should prevail.

RACE 6
The Sandringham as a finale....what a painful day.....a PERSUASIVE gets my EW vote here in a tough race at the end of a tough day.

Best Bet is just to smash A SON HIKARI , fuck the rest off and goto the pub .....

Good Luck and enjoy.

Its another great week in equine calendar as we move into June and its Royal Ascot a incredible week of blue blood investment on show and hopefully some classic races although im becoming less and less a flat aficionado as my love for NH grows however the odd week like this does spike my interest.

All this in / out Brexit/Remain bollocks has me bubbling for a mammoth Friday rant so watch this space!!!...

Back to racing...

Its Ascot a course for fucking halfwits and self satisfying self fellating cock ends and the odd nice hat.
A course that i fucking despise and a course much like newbury where form is not worth a brown finger and the week is to be taken in the spirit of horse racing and the wallet bulging bookies.

However its the Royal course and its a week to get all the fucking toff racing out of the way in one fell swoop..so enjoy Quentin et al coz you can fuck off after this.

So..who really wants to follow a very pious me at a course i hate in conditions that make it harder than normal in a year where little inspires...only the foolhardy and my friends thats who...so fingers crossed i can nail a winner or two for my cock sucking pals who have gone down on a 4 day jolly ( the wankers ).

RACE 1
The Queen Anne Stakes over 1m for 4yo+ and it looks a decent field this to be honest.
Kodi Bear should be a lot better now with a spin under his belt and that is also the same for Amazing Maria both of whom i like as EW longshots but my money will very loyally be staying on BELARDO who i have already gained a very sweet profit on this term and i think there is more to come but this wont be easy by any means and he will need to be on top of his game as there are others who want to turn tables and break historic data records like Esoterique and Mondaliste plus the hidden danger of Tepin.

****Ran 2nd @ 9/2 and hit 1.50 in the run but a nice EW start for me as i got on at 13/2.

RACE 2
The Coventry and a ball acher with 19 runners and for pre pubescent 2yos what a fucking nightmare for punters.
Aiden V Joseph , Wesley V the Weather , Last time out winners V the field......

This is a tricky race however MOKARRIS has for me some very smart times and if coming on for that last run it will take a very good horse to beat him because looking through the big field you notice an awful lot of dead wood with form figures that flatter more than impress.Carvaggio @ 2/1 is a MAX LAY.

****Mokarris did absolutely fuck all here racing up the middle with little cover and sulked whilst the Fav was very very impressive and looks a seriously good horse but still a win as i traded my Lay off when it hit 5.4...;)

RACE 3
Next up its the King Stand a 5f super sprint but with 21 runners this is truly insane.
MECCAS ANGEL is a true super star in the sprinting ranks and for me is the winner but im not really interested in the 15/8 on offer so will look elsewhere for a sporting punt.
MUTHMIR is a horse ive always liked however it has always really let me down and owes me some payback.
Muthmir who has Won the Skybet Dash and a King George Stakes whilst also coming third in this very race among other lesser wins including a decent place in France and if Moofy is in the groove he will will have every chance of running into a place or better and at 16/1 is jsut the right side of Value and for me is a very decent EW bet.

****Muthmir was a Non Runner so nothing here for me either way although Meccas Angel ran a shocker.

RACE 4
Now we have for me one of my favourite races not only of the week but the whole year...im simply love the ST JAMES PALACE STAKES over 1m and always gets a good winner...from the days of Warning and Zilzal to Frankel have i always loved this.

Awtaad looks nice and got the run of the race at the Curragh and wont be so lucky here, The Ghurka looks very useful however the French form is weak so that leaves only one other option ( as this is a 3 runner race for me ) and that is GALILEO GOLD ( NAP ) and at 13/2 is one of the best EW bets you will ever come across as i believe this is nailed on for a place and has every chance of winning....13/2 for a UK Guineas winner that was caught in a pocket in the Irish version and generally suffered a poor ride and this class animal will show his colours here today and the stronger the pace the better for a horse considered as a possible Derby Fav....13/2....Lump the fuck on EW.

*****GALILEO GOLD 1st - Ran a cracker with a super ride from Frankie...left the other two Guineas winners in his wake although i think wit a better ride The Ghurka will be closer next time..fucking Moore is useless...

RACE 5
This Ascot Stakes race over 2m4f leaves me a bit cold to be honest and im struggling to gather any fucking interest whatsoever.
I think Silver Concorde will have a good Go whilst Willie Mullins will be keen to add to his flat tally not forgetting Gallizi however im sticking with me old chum Henderson and his NO HERETIC who last seen Won the Chester Cup and will be fully primed for a tilt here and will be fitter for that run and the 14/1 looks a decent enough price.

**Held up by Spencer for a late run but weakened before being produced...unplaced

RACE 6
The Finale is the Windsor Castle Stakes for 2 yos over 5f and has been a race that ive never done more than fuck all in.
TOMILLY from the yet to really fire stable of Hannon is the one for me at 10/1 in a race that only your gut instinct can be followed.

****This stable is in disarray and Hannon Snr will be coming out of retirement if this continues as the older dominate force of Hannon is now quickly turning into a stable of mediocrity and disappointment.

Best bets for me is £50 EW doubles and trebles on all selections through the card although im tempted to just cut the risk and have an EW Heinz or Canadian....GALILEO GOLD is an outstanding bet and is truly worth emptying every penny out of every account and sticking it on in the place market.....

Good Luck fuckers...enjoy a cracking Day 1.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2771687464577429224.post-21421249098516136722016-06-11T12:38:00.002+01:002016-06-11T17:44:08.378+01:00Saturday DoubleEaston Angel & Cauis Marcius
1st @ 2/1 & 2nd @ 4/9 ( wdr4 ) = £33.60 LossAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2771687464577429224.post-46179476804244813322016-06-05T11:10:00.000+01:002016-06-05T20:24:44.149+01:00Some Sunday Lunch Money...Well...

Yesterday was overall a flat day for me as i looked to take on the obvious and expected and the obvious and expected performed.

Performance of the day goes to the incredible POSTPONED a horse that has improved so much i firmly believe this is THE best 1m4f horse currently in Europe and a win at RA will be followed by a route to the Arc and if in the same heart will win no question ( been clipped from 8/1 to 4/1 ).

And as much as i " thought " this would win i still went against it with Simple Verse who needs a much stiffer test of stamina and only woke up in the final 1f and i think another tilt at the St Leger is on the cards and a wee ante post may be in order.

The rest of my day went pretty much the same with US Army Ranger getting a very poor ride from Moore and denied a Derby victory whilst Catargo did absolutely nothing.

Over at Donny the Godolphin charge Dubai Destiny ran a super race as looks as good as i was led to think.Run into 3rd or rather was hampered, checked and squeezed out of 2nd and any chance of winning by the winner and eventual 2nd , this was sat on the inside swinging away and tanking until the 2f pole then they all made a move and this just cruised up the inside and then at the 1f pole really got to work like a proper horse, the winner ran a solid race and got the jump but was tiring and this girl was full of running at the end at 7f or even 1m will not be an issue at the back of this race the winner swerved into the rail checking my runner whilst the third switched two wide to pip it for 2nd as Dubai nearly lost itss legs such was the commotion....THIS IS A NAILED ON FUTURE WINNER!!!.

Back to area of expertise the NH i ventured into a couple of small bets on the seasons first Juvenile Hurdle and i had a £50 win on the Easterby charge that failed to stay ( in fact it was classed as a non finisher ) and i also had £25 EW on Rajapour as this as explained was the only stout staying bred type in the race and this ran a cracker and almost capitalizing on a last fence blunder by the eventual winner going down by a short head at 31.58 ( 25/1 ) and 6.2 a place so did ok there but if this can learn to settle and jump cleaner then it could have a bright future as it was full of gusto at the end and there was 16L gap back to the third suggesting these two are decent enough to nab a few summer wins with a view to a promising 2017 winter campaign.

So today , well we have two decent bets in RAINY CITY and MENORAH.

Rainy City has taken an age to sort his shit out but looks a very decent type now and i expect this to be capable of rattling off four or five wins through the summer then take a break and come back in November whilst Menorah is a perpetual Group 1 or graded runner that although advancing in years is still a very decent performer and this is a sizeable drop in class and lets not forget lto he beat the very useful Valsuer Lido which is a ton better than any other form available and i will be very surprised if this doesnt piss in.

RESULTS:

RAINY CITY - 1st @ 4/11

MENORAH - 2nd @ 11/10 ( Gave winner 2 stone )

1 X £100 DOUBLE = Loss....Booo...always tomorrow...Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2771687464577429224.post-433014106606001872016-06-04T12:03:00.002+01:002016-06-04T12:24:18.080+01:00Derby DayGood Morning World

Well here it is the creme de le creme ( or so they say ) of the flat calendar, the Investec DERBY a race over 1m4f for the boys ( Minding won a rather turgid looking Oaks yesterday for the girls ) and we have last years winning trainer in with another decent shout and the usual shotgun approach from AoB in what looks like a very open Derby.

I will also cast my eye over the remainder of the card and throw in a couple of extra NH races which appeal ( Namely my specialty Novice Hurdles ).

So lets take a peek at today's action.

EPSOM Derby Day.

14:00
We start off with a decent looking stakes race over 1m2f with a decent 15 runners ( so often never quite the 16 you need for 4 places in traditionally betting ).

CARTAGO looks a decent EW punt in the first a horse that is still improving and learning and comes in here in good heart having been touched off by a derby hopeful lto after being squeezed for room when wanting to make a run, there are a hatful of others to consider here including the 300k Stoute runner Poets Word ,Dark Devil and the improving Banish however at 5/1 i feel that Cartago is an EW bet to nothing and is one i would def have in some EW accas.

RESULT:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14:35
Next up is the Princess Elizabeth Stakes over 1m for the Fillies and this C1 has attracted a disappointing field.
Just the 7 runners and i see no point in going against SAYANNA ( NAP ).
With the highest official rating on show at 103 Sayanna can afford to even run a little below par and still win as i rate this myself at 116 with further scope for improvement as we got no where near the bottom of this one yet although its a slight concern that a filly with such obvious ability has so far swerved all nationality of Guineas and is running a short time before Royal Ascot...bad planning or just a bully? either way it cannot be over looked today.

RESULT:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:10
The CORONATION CUP next over 1m4f for all ages and in truth this could be a bit of a humdinger as we have at least 3 very top class sorts involved propped up with two others who could if things drop right get involved.

lets look at the three main protagonists and from where imo the winner will be found.

FOUND - A very classy Galileo filly who will be up there and will def be involved in the finish however since winning a G3 over an extended trip she has since shown on 4 separate occasions that at 1m2f she lacks any sort of finish she kinda stays on remorselessly rather than having any real kick and is very vulnerable to anything with any sort of finish or a proper stayer and for me i think 3rd is the best this will manage.

POSTPONED - This is without doubt the most improved in the race and in all honesty the likeliest winner having rattled up a tremendous four timer including a lto destruction of Duramente in the Sheema Classic which added further Gloss to an exhilarating performance when winning the King George from Eagle Top and Romsdal however it must also be noted that both Eagle Top and Romsdal are perpetual under performers who routinely sulk in a race and as good as that form looks to be its a glorified hcap which was further illustrated when winning the Prix Foy beating the likes of Spiritjim who has done fuck all since so in a decent race with a fav that for me is still just a high quality handicapper that is priced at 10/11 i will look elsewhere and in truth for the layers i think this is a knocking laybet at odds on or even money as you have some great horses running for you.

SIMPLE VERSE - This for me looks to be the winner or at least imo is the best bet at 5/1 as a place looks nailed on and an EW double with Cartago looks very tasty indeed ( Ev/Ev the place..not to be sniffed at ).
A proper stayer that will not be wanting should the Varian pacemaker make this a proper gallop a filly that has shown bags of class when winning the champion stakes and has run 2nd in various top quality events including the likes of the St Leger , quite Simply i think that Even money FAP for this is a million times better bet than Even money on Postponed to win.

RESULT:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:45
The DASH is exactly what it states on the tin a flying 5f and with 18 runners this is deliciously wide open.
With so many in the race having bits of form against each other and most of them taking it in turns to win i think a chance should be taken on MALJAA to prove he has that bit of class that stands him apart and at a top priced 9/1 offers extremely good value.
I didnt like his fto run this season but you can always slightly forgive a seasonal effort and if fitter add more in tuned has every chance on form but he will have to improve and step up now on ground he should relish.

RESULT :
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16:30
The DERBY.

A race that over the years has produced some heroic winners and some true world beaters in the shape of Sea the Stars , Galileo and Reference Point but has generally produced not much more than one season wonders as they want the coin from breeding and a few duds in between like High Rise, Oath and Pour Moi.

This years renewal looks wide open in truth with any number having a genuine chance as this years crop a true superstar which isnt to say that we wont get one but we have nothing that has really shone in a stable for all moderation and a season full of whatevers.

Cloth of Stars has been well backed this morning however having only beaten a combined 9 runners in its last 2 races and with the form on offer dubious at best i am not interested in this tied 3rd favourite.
Us Army Ranger won well enough at Chester in the trial but was pretty much flat out and im not sure he will have such an easy passage through in this and will get outstayed but not outbattled if this si still fighting at the 1f pole it will take a good un to beat him but i also feel this race will be won before that so a place at best.

WINGS OF DESIRE does tick all the boxes for me.Proven stayer who will like the conditions and another who won his trial in taking fashion over a trip ( 1m2f ) that many thought actually too short so to win going away was impressive and of course Gosden knows how to ready a winner for this having trained last years victor.
Currently top priced 6/1 ( Stan James ) this looks another top drawer EW Bet and looks ready made to complete a nice EW Trixie for me.

Algometer and Across the Stars at 33/1 and 40/1 look very decent long shots for those wanting some ew fun and with SKYBET paying out on the top 5 at 1/5 odds this is well worth a risk taking on as either could easily run into a place past beaten and tired horses to sneek some place money and this is a bet i would advise.

RESULT :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17:15
To round off the Place Pot card we have a crazy looking 17 runner hcap over 1m4f.....what a fucking nightmare!!!!!.
Polarisation is very interesting now with Godolphin ( formerly with M Johnston ) and this is one of those best watched as it could win by 10L or blow up 2f out.

Whinging Willie will i am sure be thereabouts along with Senrima and Green Light however im going to have both DURETTO & BARWICK in my pp as i feel both have it in them to get involved with realistic chances of winning and failing that to get placed ( 3 in fact as i will include Polarisation in the pp ).

RESULT :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Best Bet is an " All stakes returned " Win on the NAP and use the money to pay for a decent EW Trixie on Cartago, Simple Verse and Wings of Desire and include Maljaa in a EW 4 fold ( not bothered about the win as all placed returns a very decent sum ).

ELSEWHERE.........

1355 Doncaster - DUBAI ELEGANCE -
I am reliably informed this is very serious filly and the yard are excited to see this run and Doyle is there to oversee its debut leaving Buick to mop up at Epsom and the 5/2 looks a very nice price to start.

1440 Hexham - Bobbys Babe & Rajpour

The first Juvenile of the year and its tricky....very tricky however 6f All the way maiden winner Bobbys Babe could easily have enough to fend these off in a poor looking race but its a leap of faith going from 6f to 2m...will he stay..fuck knows thats why ive also included 28/1 shot Rajaapour because its the only one with with known staying prowess in the pedigree ( by Dalakhani )...in truth this really isnt a bettng race but it lets me know where i am regarding reviewing and lets me interpret my own thoughts.

1830 Curragh - SIR ISSAC NEWTON -
Beaten at long odds on lto this is another quirky bastard from AoB however with several big engagements planned in at RA this WILL have to this or quite simply retire from racing.

A million miles better on hyperbole and at times in racing has looked effortlessly classy but has failed to live upto the hype so its show up or fuck off time for SIN and the 13/8 looks almost too good to be true as i had it at 1/2!!!!!

And that concludes my thoughts for today...good luck and enjoy.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2771687464577429224.post-26266803498537677792016-05-22T10:52:00.001+01:002016-05-22T17:43:38.206+01:00Sunday Lunch MoneyMorning Folks,
Well its been a very good weekend of racing with so good results and the odd twitch and we round the weekend off with the Curragh being the center of attention.
My NAP of the Day with a bit of meat on the bones is JENNIES JEWEL and i think an EW Double with SASFARR should be had.

The updates have been very sparse of late as i have been busy on other projects however im up early with Ben today so i thought i would share the following.

WASINGTON DC & BONDI BEACH looks a nailed on double today , both will be short prices but both are different gravy in their respective races and i would be shocked if either lost.

Washington DC ran no sort of race lto and should bounce right back in this lower grade whilst Bondi Beach will use this as a prep for Royal Ascot.

Nailed on Lump Double.

Good Luck and should you want any further advice or tips then just email or message me ;-)

Enjoy your Sunday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DAY 2
RACE 1
WIN - YANWORTH -
EW - YORKHILL -
LONG - VIGIL -
The Baring Bingham is a race i like and many a star have come from this including of recent years Simonsig, The New One and Faugheen so this is certainly no back number race.
This year would appear no different as we have two genuine stars in the shape of Yorkhill and the massively impressive YANWORTH.
The Latter is my personal ( Sniper ) idea of the winner a horse with any amount of scope ( term generally used for a horse that still has improvement to offer and/or is building towards better things ) and this Alan King inmate looks to be a very special talent having Won three races ( from 3 ) this term and not yet been asked to move off the bridle, 11/10 is a tight price that offers nothing but the selection is offers rock solid confidence.
Not a " done deal " by any means as not only the equally impressive looking Yorkhill offers strong opposition but the field itself looks very useful with the likes of Yala Eneki , Vigil and O O Seven all looking to improve upon their already very impressive statistics but yet priced at 40/1 , 33/1 and 20/1 these are the Longbow selections and it will be interesting to see how the Skeltons get on with their runners as they have another two in this and im a big fan of the stable but have felt its been under a bit of a cloud of late so a few shards of light would offer welcome relief.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 2

SNIPER LONGBOW

WIN - MORE OF THAT - WIN - VYTA DU ROC -
EW - NO MORE HEROES - V EW - MORE OF THAT -
LONG - VYTA DU ROC - LONG - SEEYOUATMIDNIGHT -

The RSA is next and this is often a very competitive race aimed at those who failed to actually achieve their true targets and have therefore lowered their sights a bit..RSA or Neptune...

This does look another extremely tough renewal or maybe not tough unless your a tipster but rather just very very competitive.
MORE OF THAT is the current 2/1 Jolly and in a 3m Chase with just a few pounds separating the field ( most of whom arrive in excellent form ) and add in the bonus fact that this is a huge 9.6 on the Stat Lay scale i will gladly make this a MAX LAY.
Winner? what will win i hear you scream?.Well with the jolly out of the picture its a very open affair indeed.
No More Heroes is from the Combo/Team of last years victory and it a long with a great many others arrives bang in form but at 9/4 2nd Fav this offers absolutely nothing and if the market flip flops tmrw then it may well become a SL itself.
VYTA DU ROC at around 9/1 offers a smidge of value ( i had it down at 12/1 so no over enthused ) Stay the trip well, cruises into its races well , jumps very strongly and looks a genuine solid performer that quite frankly deserves some heavy black type and is gteed to run a big race for its punting partners and finally it would be churlish to write off the chances of SEEYOUATMIDNIGHT a horse arriving on the back of a very strongly accrued Hat Trick and for me is well worth his place in the field and an EW dutch on the last named pair is a solid looking bet using the winnings that will be earned by the Jolly blowing up ;-).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 3
WIN -
EW -
LONG -
This is usually a ridiculous affair and this years renewal of the CORAL CUP doesn't disappoint with 26 runners racing in a mind boggling Hcap this really is one for the pinstickers or even Paula Chiltern who i would imagine would excel in a race like this ( Missed her on ATR last night chatting with chappers ).
There are three in this field which i shall nominate as decent EW punts and they will carry the colour of my Money.
1. LONG HOUSE HALL @ 14/1
2. BAOULET DELAROQUE @ 14/1
3. BARON ALCO @ 20/1
All three arrive in tip top form and im expecting a damn decent run for my money however this is the Coral Cup and anything can happen but with the last five winners ( from 6 ) returning at 9/1 16/1 16/1 14/1 and 14/1 i feel i have mine in just about the right range and i feel surprisingly confident of attaining a profitable outcome in this race.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE4

WIN - UN DE SCEAUX -
EW - SPRINTER SACRE -
LONG - SIRE DE GRUGY -

Next up is possibly the race of the day , THE QUEEN MOTHER CUP a race over 2m and this year we get to see a former superstar that had dimmed of late only to flicker once more and we are hoping the flicker is more than a last death defying gasp of its past brilliance and that it is more of a foundation to say i am only 10 and i have another 2 solid years left and its taking an age to regain fitness and confidence!! the horse in question is of course the one time uber brilliant SPRINTER SACRE.

The brilliance once displayed by SS would have made it almost unbackable for this or any other race as was the race in the main however the fortune reversal and the emergence of some stunning new challengers has allowed this today to be backed at an eye watering 5/1!!!.

The Fav is the brilliant Un De Sceaux and a deserved fav but at 8/11 i think that not only are they dis-respecting the remainder of the field but also the re-emergence in force of SS and there is no way at 8/11 this would have anything from me.

DODGING BULLETS is no back number either and at 14/1 looks a very interesting EW proposition or FAP, last years winner ran a wee bit flat fto this season but that is nothing new and you can gtee this will be cherry ripe for this and will run a big race indeed and also at 14/1 is SIRE DE GRUGY and i think an EW dutch on both is a very good sporting bet but as a purist i do think this lay between the old guard and the new king, Sprinter Sacre and Un De Sceaux and a WIN Dutch on those two looks an absolute dream of a Pro Punt and i will end up throwing the proverbial wheel Barrow at this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 5
WIN - JOSIES ORDERS -
EW - BALTHAZAR KING -
LONG - QUANTITIVEEASING -
Next up its the Cross Country and this specialist race takes some understanding and i think Both BALTHAZAR KING and JOSIES ORDERS have gained a very good understanding and both look to hold extremely strong chances and at 3/1 and 6/1 offer enough for some financial investment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 6

WIN - OUR THOMAS -
EW - FIX LE KAP -
LONG - VOIX DU REVE -

FRED WINTER time and with 22 closely matched runners i can see the trend of big double barrelled priced runners filling the spots.
Previous winners have been 16/1 , 20/1 and 40/1 ( couple of times ) so aim for the sky pick three or four slap em EW and hope your in luck.

1. OUR THOMAS 20/1
From the Easterby's who know what it takes to win one of these.
2. JALEO @ 14/1
A classy type with bags of flat pace and if the ground continues to dry out will be very hard to beat and pass on the searching uphill finish.
3. DUKE STREET @ 25/1
From the canny yard of Dr Newland this is still improving and is worth his place.
4. HARLEY REBEL @ 20/1
From a yard i really like with a very capable rider.
5. PILLARD @ 25/1
Anything with Dicky riding has to be feared.

My 5 against the field in what should be a very fun race to watch but shouldnt be one to invest too heavily in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 7
WIN - NEW TO THIS TOWN -
EW - ONTHEWESTERNFRONT -
LONG - AUGUSTA KATE -
No big summary here as there is no EW value with the fav scaring off all the opposition and i really see no point in taking on Douvan as its my opinion that this is the single greatest horse since Arkle and even at 1/2 its a cracking bet as i see no way this loses ( just like Annie Power i here you all say, well thats fucking racing is what i retort..suck it up or pack it in )....I will be having a big bet on this and including it in my accas with Thistlecrack among others.
DOUVAN to Win quite easy. - DOUVAN WINS very easy...a true class performer packed with power.
RACE 3
This is an insanely tricky handicap but BEG TO DIFFER could have The answers, much improved improving rapidly and bang in form is gteed to run a big race and with 4 or 5 places paid is well worth a sporting EW.
Longbow has had a good look at this and he has nominated UN TEMPS POUR TOUT and SPRING HEELED both should be a decent price and both are more than capable of running a solid fun race.
Best Bet: EW Tri-Dutch. UN TEMPS POUR TOUT Wins @ 11/1..BoooM ;-))
RACE 4
For me THE race of the day, the CHAMPION HURDLE and it looks wide open with at least 8 strong runners plus ANNIE POWER.
One of the best Mares EVER that also has lost only two races ever but both were at Cheltenham including the mares race last year when she would have pissed in had it not been for Walsh slipping out the side as they skipped over the last withe race already Won!!!!!...a race btw that cost me me so much more than cash alone......anyway thats a story for another day.
Can Annie beat the boys?...Lets look at the competition...
1.THE NEW ONE
A horse that should have won more than it has and was once rated by me as the best since sliced bread but has gone considerably off the boil, still travels well, still has class but is vulnerable to both peers and improvers alike and it would have to be 33/1 or better for me to get involved and then it would be just for fun as i dont expect it to place.
2.HARGAM
See above but with scope and is not the best finisher and as much as i like this horse it needs to be in a Grade 2 to get that winning thread back.
3.MY TENT OR YOURS
A beautiful runner from Hendo that has a 703 day holiday to overcome but i really dont think thats an issue and this will make them all work if fully wound.Worked well the other day at Sandown but could blow up massively its just possible to say and the price you are getting is based on historical data not current or relevant and its just a gamble with a blindfold could win but could blow up.
4.PEACE AND CO
Been hugely disappointing this term , has a wonderful cruising speed but has blown up on both occasions and cannot be trusted not to do it again however a return to form makes it hard to beat but thats a tricky call and not for me.
5.TOP NOTCH
Another superstar from Hendo that has massively under performed this year and i really cant see this winning but i can see all Hendo runners cruising well but i havnt seen anything to suggest a sustained run is forthcoming.
6.NICHOLAS CANYON / SEMPRE MEDICI / IDENTITY THIEF
All three have very similar profiles and all have similar chances any or all can get involved but i have a feeling its place bombing for these only.
Best EW BET is probably CAMPING GROUND
So looking through this i simply dont see anything good enough to beat Annie however at 2/1 and racing against much stronger competition than expected in a race in which Mares have only ever triumphed 3 times racing over an inadequate trip spells danger danger danger and i simple cannot advise a bet on it, Will probably win but not for me but is worth sticking in the odd acca.
Best Bet : EW bets on Hargam , The New One and Peace n Co with a WIN on Annie Power.
Annie Power WINS Very Easily ;-)
RACE 5
Next up as we have the MARES HURDLE and another race with another Mullins hot pot in the shape of VROUM VROUM MAG and this imo will simply demolish what looks like a field of average handicappers this will be one of the biggest shocks of the festival if this loses...Nailed on Double with Douvan and decent treble with Annie but also have another treble with Thistlecrack
WIN BET: VROUM VROUM MAG ( nap ) - WINS - 1st @ 1.90 ;-)...5 from 5...BooM
RACE 6
Katie Walsh and Nina Carberry..whatever they ride back EW.
RESULT:MEASUREMYDREAMS ridden by Katie is 3rd..so the PP is Won at £10 so i get 10 times the payout...whatever it is its been agreat day.!!
RACE 7
KATGARY and DOUBLE SHUFFLE in the finale and both EW obviously...
RESULT :
Its that time off year again , the magnificent CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL.
Aintree's festival is good , Punchestown is big , Galways is interesting but this is THE Festival of festivals and we have a good bank of solid looking banker bets in some good races with a very open feel to some with movement and defections causing some ante post mayhem.
DAY 1
RACE 1
An explosive start to the days affair and a very heavy betting race.
MIN the season long Ante Post darling trading at an incredible Even Money just a month ago has now drifted to a more realistic 9/4 however even that looks a shade skinny to me.
This race has for the last three years been dominated by Mullins who has quite frankly dominated everywhere as he built up a powerhouse stable that had no peers and even the mighty Gigginstown took a back seat.
BUT...prior to his mini race revival the 12 years leading upto this saw a double figure priced winner every year and since Kinsman Won at 50/1 we have had winners at 40/1 multiple times at 25/1 , 20/1 and loads at between 10/1-16/1 so for me the winner of this race is usually a slow burner, a one season wonder? but a horse primed to race for all his corn right now with no thought for this becoming a repeat affair.
So i am going to leave the mighty Min a horse of undeniable scope out of my equations.
Who will i look to to get me off to an exciting start, who can lead the way?.
Of course my old friend Hendo, Nicky has two very powerful runners and impossible to split candidates in this, ALTIOR who is all speed and fancy looks and BUVEUR D'AIR who is all muscle and Power and its the latter i fancy here with the withering cheltenham hill able to catch many a smooth traveler out.
Not much splits the pair in the market at 4/1 and 11/2 respectively and a dutch on these two is for me the best bet (Sniper ).
Longbow however as his stock takes them all on as he loves a longshot to fire at and Cheltenham is fair game for having a go and he has a couple of EW heroes to aim at.
Longbow is having an EW Dutch on the Skelton duo , both currently priced at 40/1 these two fine looking sorts seem to have a lot of improvement required to figure however this is the race to improve in and i wouldn't try n put anyone off a Longbow selection...master Archer...will he be master Tipster??!!.
My Formcaster predicts
WIN - MIN - 2nd @ 15/8
LONG - BELLSHILL -
Best EW Bet - ALTIOR - 1st @ 4/1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Results and analysis to follow.....BooooooM as The SNIPER takes the first Scalp with a well judged Dutch hitting both 1st @ 4/1 and 3rd @ 10/1...Lovely start ;-)

Kestrel Call is an out n out SL however the mid range to this market is very weak and for that reason even at 1.98 i am leaving this alone. - Unplaced @ 4/5F

ANCIENT CROSS at 5.5 is a massive SL ( anything over 9.4 qualifies as huge or massive ) and this HAS to be Layed ( or traded , whatever floats ones boat ). - Unplaced @ 6/1 2ndF

Claude Greenwood is
currently on the margins..just about sneaks in as an out n out SL
however i would probably just trade this at 4.2 rather than Lay unless
the market straightens up significantly.

Captain Revelation is another borderline although the current
4.50 makes little appeal as i would ideally want or expect 4.2 or
slightly lower knowing that if it goes in the 3's then the market will
become unbalanced for the wrong reasons.

LUDLOW

ZANSTRA is a strong SL here
at 8.6 but its always a nerve jangler taking on Dicky Johnson riding an
in form horse but then i dont bet horses i bet against the market and
the force is strong with this one.- Unplaced @ 15/8F

Hollywoodien is another
strong looking runner that comes in at 8.2 on the SL scale ( bit like
the scoville scale but without the chillies ).- Unplaced at 5/2F

Nexius follows that and is
another but this is slightly higher at 9.1 and at 3.10 makes lots of
appeal in what will be an attritional race. - Unplaced @ 7/2F

Aptrix is on the margins as this 7.2 selection is another with a
very poor mid range and is best watched for now unless the market turns
dramatically for us.

This will do you today, have a taste see how it feels and what you think and let me know how you got on, ( Results Later )

What i can do is this..Offer you a NAP a day that may win , may lose may not even run and will offer little value.

The Longbow account is now on its arse after i spunked a huge chunk of change away chasing loss after loss lol....so that will have to be rebuilt.
On a positive note the Sniper account is Glowing after Wins with Sprinter Sacre, Altior ( NAP ) , General Girling and Baron Alco plus i had 4 placed from 5 in EW doubles so that was a nice profit.

On the balance of play tho i have spunked too much away today needlessly but it was a pot to lose i sat down with the intention of betting it and it didnt come off another day i could have won nicely but thats racing, back to the grind tmrw, betting in frequently and pot building through the week as we look to attack it big style next weekend...well thats the theory meanwhile the Sniper account can just keep creeping up until it reaches a point where it provides a 2nd income....fingers crossed anyhoo as im getting bored wit this working malarkey!!..

righto all ttfn keep smiling n stay lucky.xAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2771687464577429224.post-20111030924269967652015-11-15T11:45:00.001+00:002015-11-15T15:55:13.358+00:00Its Been a While...Morning guys n gals,
Its been a while since i last posted anything let alone a race card but its the final day of the excellent season defining Open Meeting at Cheltenham and we have seen some sterling results already.
The weather has turned over the last week and the ground is very soft now and i think its highly unlikely that we will see Sprinter Sacre running however this is not an issue as I am now taking over the posting and thoughts of this page.
" i " you may ask ?..well this is usually the domain for my Alter ego " Sniper " but he is far too busy data collecting and form watching to worry about the smaller stuff so i will be giving the cards my own spin.
Who is I you may ask, who is the new writer and informer of the equine knowledge people crave so badly, well in truth the I isnt a new persona but more of an older hand that ha only really come out to play more n more over the last few years it is in fact the Mighty , the Imperious LONGBOW.

Yes i was toying with the idea of giving Longbow his own page and that may still happen but for now he will guest write all articles on here as well as the odd chip over at Punters Pal.

Well i dont like Favourites as much as Sniper and always look for improvers or dark horses and if its a juicy price then all the better, i fly in the face of conformation and common sense and live life on the edge...well mostly ;).

Before i start todays card i would like to pass on my condolences to all my French friends and colleagues and anyone else involved in the tragic events that have recently occurred in Paris.

Lets take a look at the Cheltenham card then...but in what format? well i will go through it in a brief style for today but if you prefer a better or different style then leave me a message.

RACE 1:
This race is truth lay between MAPUTO and ALTIOR
Altior i know is loved by the yard and they rank it higher on ability than Peace n Co which tells its own story , will love the ground and is a true gutsy proper racer where as Maputo may not like the ground but is a very classy sort but has beaten little to date and has a bit to prove.

Simon Squirrel is a talking horse and has to find at least 20lb however ....this may be easily found as this is a huge improver and could easily get involved.
The market itself suggests that this is an equal field and with little to choose between them i see nothing gained in going for the favoured side.

Yes Altior is the likeliest winner , Yes Maputo has some strong lower grade form to offer however at the prices in testing conditions where some finishes will become attritional i think taking a view away is a better bet.
DRUMLEE SUNSET has a bit to find but Hobbs and Johnson are red hot pokers currently and this will have come on a ton from its debut over CD and i think a more spirited performance is assured.

Its my opinion that the BEST BET in this is a very large PPL ( ask if you dont understand ) as both are currently sub 1.80 so this is imo a very decent wager.

FTW...well i am going to say have a dutch on Drumlee Secret and Simon Squirrel as it pays more for the dutch than backing either of th front two on their own.

RESULT : ALTIOR Wins @ 2/1

**My bet was sold off at a break even price as soon as Drumlee jinked and unseated Dicky just 100 yards after the off so no damage done there.

Sniper did quite well tho as i know he has that in a big EW Trixie today and had a big single on it...Maybe i should start following the money men....;P...nah i dont fucking think so..ive plenty of bullets left.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I Have a £500 PPL bet on this.
RACE 2:
There is only one bet for me here and its a lay at the current 1.76 or similar on GARDE LE VICTIORE , yes it won the Greatwood , yes its a massive improver and looks good with fancy figures but the truth here is it was only a couple of pound superior to Fox Norton over hurdles and GLV has limited Chase experience where FN has a ton and is unbeaten and we have two competitive looking runners from the Nicholls yard.
At the current odds this is a fantastic LAY.
RESULT :Garde Le Victoire Wins @ 1.70 ( hit 4.6 in running ) , never looked like winning, was at full speed from 4 out and never looked comfortable...totally unconvincing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Have laid this for £500
RACE 3:
Sprinter Sacre 3 years ago would have carried the entire field home on his back , rated 188 and was a freak of nature however after an injury or two and some very poor comeback races one would have to be mighty optimistic ti think he can get back to where he was.Think Gazza,Micheal Owen,Mike Tyson,Denman or even the drug fueled Lance Armstrong the one thing that all theses sports stars and they were greats had in common was thus...THEY NEVER come back the same after a serious injury, yes they could all do a bit and occasionally roll back the years but they were never of the stature they once lofted from and its from that perspective that makes me think that SS will never again be the same and the likes of SIMPLY NED maybe too good but i wouldnt dismiss Somersby either who goes well fresh and may a bit left but again the market tells its own story...its a wide open affair with no real outsiders either of the two supposed rags capable of running a big race although for profit and fun you can at the odds dutch Mr Mole with the two rags in a FAP dutch that does jold a lot of interest and for me is the best " fun bet " with a Win Dutch concerning Mr Mole and Simply Ned the best pro punt in an engaging and interesting race the offers a lot.

RESULT: I have never felt so good to be proven wrong as SPRINTER SACRE simply routed them @ 3.25...he demolished them by 15l running most of the race to around 180 which means he is definitely back and that leaves me £650 down for the day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I have done a £200/£100/£100 Fap Dutch on the bottom three in the market.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE4 :
The Greatwood Hurdle now and i have a proper Longbow bet in this in the shape of DAYS OF HEAVEN at around 23/1 this looks an outstanding EW bet with a jockey whom i like v much riding a horse that smashed a 141 rated rival ( has made a winning start over fences with all form franked ) by an amazing 34 lengths and had beaten the group rated Vago Collenges in the Dovecote.
This has any amount of improvement to come and is back over its ideal trip and could easily be a proper festival runner and will be winning races in between so at the odds and given the fact he has little to find to match the best on offer this for me is a no brainer.

RESULT:Ran a great race until it emptied off the turn 2 out...Never mind..another £300 n the £300 from the double down...so thats a nice £1200 down i am today...proving to be an expensive Sunday...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I have £150 EW @ BFSP.
RACE 5 :
SCOOP THE POT comes into this with a huge reputation and profile and also comes into this owing a few people after a huge flop lto when he simply ran ragged and didnt jump.
But this did show a lot of class during a before that debacle but at around 8.0 is short enough however i also like Fingerontheswitch and Towering and the three of them are in the top four in the betting which is a bit of a c u next tuesday in truth because in a 24 runner field field i have found myself magnetically drawn towards these three and find them very hard to get away from so on this occasion i will bite my own bullet and just lump the dutch.
RESULT:Nothing here either......£1300 down..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~£50 Win Each

***Well its been a shit ol day for the Longbow so im gonna get it all in on a Win Dutch with Coole Charmer and Chap...big balls time.....

RACE 6:
This is a nice looking finale with some very well thought of sorts and a host of future winners but i think all things considered that COOLE CHARMER from the Hendo yard and ridden by the excellent Fehily will take some beating and its lto has been massively franked as the 2nd that day has since had 3 Hurdle runs winning the last two of them and that franking is worth an awful lot and at a very engaging 8.0 i am going to have a good go at this.

RESULT:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~£150 EW ( & £150 EW Double with Days of Heaven )
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Been a few days or so since any real update and this has been solely down to having no time to really put down all my thoughts in fact ive bet hardly anything just lately as my time has been spent elsewhere and ive been making a living " old skool " by actually working for a living and pulling a wage from it...i know SHOCK HORROR lol...ive been getting paid to do work watching and race reviewing and its been fun and ive been booked for another two weeks of horse related work so time will again be at a premium so i have decided to take a very early look thru the Tuesday card at Goodwood as this is one of my Favourite weeks of the year GLORIOUS GOODWOOD and im hoping to see some classic races again this year.

We start off with a Traditionally tough looking Hcap and all thoughts and considerations will be made and excepted as though the ground is riding Good only any deviations will mean you will have to except the outcome or re-assess.
As they are in such fine form still and they also won this race last year i am going to advise a 3 way ( any form ) dutch on the three MJ runners , we have them in form with CD history and will all be ready to rumble and as all three are in very healthy double figures this looks a decent bet albeit for fun only but a bigger bet wouldnt be considered a bad thing.

Sniper - No Bet

Longbow - 3 way dutch - 3rd @ 14/1

FreeFORM - Master the World -

Race 2 looks a beauty and has been until last year a R Hannon benefit race as he has saddled a 2nd and 4 Winners in the last 5 years so its a race he obviously has well within his scope however Tupi which was 2nd last year wasnt all that and not at the same level as the winner he saddled from the previous 2 years which were Olympic Glory and Toormore and this years Paliwan is another that just doesnt look strong enough but is entitled to improve but not more than any of the others.
4th in the Chesham then won n Egg n Spoon maiden before getting easily brushed aside in a higher grade event over 7f and this form is imo simply not good enough and already is trailing a few others by almost 20lbs....so i simply do not see how this can win or even get close!!.
Birchwood and Air Vice Marshall will probably ( and rightly so ) dominate the betting but i think both these rival renewing runners can be opposed and with the market in our favour i think we can tank a dutch against them.
The two obvious improvers i like are GALILEO GOLD and WELFORD both of whom have a bit to find but both look strong with a stayers pedigree and i think if we do get some rain then it will improve their chances considerably and i think we should sneak double figures on both again making this a competitive bet.

Sniper - Twin Sails -

Longbow - GALILEO GOLD and WELFORD - 1st @ 6.2

FreeFORM - Birchwood -

Race 3 is the £200k Lennox Stakes and looks a doozy for so many reasons...Horses looking to reestablish reps , trying new trips and so many coming into this with tons of past form...this looks a cracker!!.
TUPI will come into the reckoning as he come 2nd in the Vintage Stakes on this card last year and this looks the right level for him to be competitive and has to be included along with outright form choice which is DUTCH CONNECTION who will win if he can replicate the brilliant lto run when just touched off by the brilliant Territories over in France and any further improvement sees him clear as i have down at around the 119-121 mark so i think that he is clear on my ratings and is still improving plus its should be a very competitive price.
Finally we should also consider LIMATO who has shown to be a group class sprinter but staying on so strongly to suggest the step up in trip should be no problem but that is not always a given but should he stay and stay well then he could be a very exciting recruit to a specialist trip.
Toormore is frustrating and untrustworthy but not without some class and ability , Glory Awaits always promises more than it delivers , Safety Check has to prove its as good on the turf as it is on the AW and the remainder are as good as their marks and will just run honest races so i think one of the surprise packages will indeed take this but which one?....My heart tells me Limato but my head says Dutch Connection so whatever the outcome this should be a fascinating race.

Sniper - Dutch Connection -

Longbow - Dutch Connection / Tupi - 2nd @ 3.7

FreeFORM - Dutch Connection -

Race 4 is a 1m6f Hcap and its a time to break the bar and chill out as this is a non event for me but i do know that FORGOTTEN VOICE has been training well and is fit as a flea as this has been his flat season target all year and this will get a decent EW lump off me.

Longbow - Forgotten Voice - 2nd @ 29.0

Race 5 is a crazy tough 5f Hcap and its the type of race in which the Dickster should lend me his magic pin because in truth there are a million options in this race.

Sniper - Double Up - 2nd @ 3.6

Longbow - Top Boy / Ridge Ranger - 3rd @ 7.6 / 1st @ 21.80

FreeFORM - Double Up -

Race 5 is a standard Goodwood Maiden and for obvious reason it must be assumed that the Goodwood Racing Club would love to see their Goodwood Zodiac win here and it does arrive with enough form to give it a solid chance.

Sniper - Papa Luigi - 2nd @ 6.44

Longbow - Goodwood Zodiac -

FreeFORM - Sir Roger Moore -

The Finale is a horrible getting out stakes and STRONG STEPS is a speculative punt to round off a tough looking day.

Longbow - Strong Steps - 3rd @ 6.88

Thats it now just another day till we watch Gleneagles win the Sussex Stakes beating Solow ;-).Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2771687464577429224.post-3620554379649656042015-07-16T11:41:00.000+01:002015-07-16T17:50:54.009+01:00Could be an interesting Thursday...Hi Yall ,
Well yesterday was as poor as i thought although my 2nd n 3rd rated Longbow won but without any bets from me as a few decent priced rags won but it was a slow day for me from 8 races with selections we only hit 2 winners ( 7/2 & Even's ) so a smallish 3.5 Point Loss on level stakes but the NAP was a winner which got me ahead for the day after i doubled through on that after losing a couple of mid afternoon bets i shouldnt have been involved with so it wasnt all doom n gloom and todays fayre isnt much stronger but we do have Hamilton to look at and the Goldie/Dalgleish roadshow will continue i hope and im hopeful Berry has one or two here as its his favoured course and although he does have a woeful SR he can hit a big priced winner and if its going to be anywhere then Hamilton is that place whilst we also Have our very good friend Marc Shukman's horse Avon Scent running over at Chepstow and i will run a rueful eye over that and a few of the others we that being my main meeting of focus today as they will be heading down.

So lets start the day with a Glance thru CHEPSTOW ,

A nice 10 runner Hcap to start the day with the 10 runners and a ton of weight splitting them but all the form on offer is much of a muchness so the bottom weights could sneak the monies here.
Hit the Heights arrives as the only runner with any relevant recent form but i will be buggered if im taking 3.50 about any runner in a race such as this and thats not to say its a lay as it isnt its just no value as a punt.
This is the type of race in which Harris could easily supply the winner and his DIAMOND VINE is probably worth sticking in the selection box as cover but realistically i think TOP COP is the one to be on at around 7/1 as its a solid option against the Fav and should be good enough to at least get a place with Spray Tan the only other likely to get heavily involved but i dont think the 8/1 is a great price but if it drifts to around 12/1 or better then i would consider it an option, this is a poor race and the Fav has this to only lose and you could make an argument in for not dutching the fav but getting enough on to cover your stakes on the rags. - TOP COP 2nd @ 5/1 ( 5/2F Wins and i had the Tri-Fecta at 53/1 but failed to back..again )

RESULT :

A poor maiden next and i would say a " fun " ew on the Evans Runner DIGI ( 33/1 ) but for me its a no bet race and i think Shukkers should stay at the bar ;).- 4th @ 23.66 ( Only just beaten in the last 50 yards and only then by a Neck )

12 Runner Hcap now and this is much better for the punter.
Back in the day the duo ( both Harris ) Light From Mars and Secret Witness would have carried these home as both were solid 100 rated sprinters and they could contest all the years big events but age has taken its toll along with racing in general and as such their own form is now far removed of which it was but they can still produce a run of ability every now n then in the lower grades but at around 8/1 each they dont offer anything as a punting medium as i would need double that to take the risk but dont be surprised if they hose up.
I think ANGEL WINGS is worth keeping onside as this improver has a ton of ton relative to the field and although beaten 5L lto that was against far superior opposition than this and really should be getting involved the 7/1 is an ok price but i want 8/1 then it becomes a decent ew punt, Vincetti is also worth noting forget its last run and then this is right in the mix but you will need 20/1 to have it as a bet in a tough race which also features a couple of Bradley runners so for me personally the bet here is a 5 way dutch on the rags ( 2-3-5-6-11 ) with a money back cover on Angel Wings.

RESULT : Nos 3 Midnight Rider Wins for us and its a BooM ;-)

Another shockingly poor Hcap to get involved with , perfect in size and content but the quality on offer is dire.
Knight of the Air looks a solid bet in this at 5/1 a well fancied fav lto that got caught up in a muddle of a race and one that is best forgotten can easily get involved on the form of the two races prior.
Gypsy Rider is the only other viable alternate in what is a race of the poorest quality and not even the Longbow can find a decent rag to punt on and i can only hope that Div 2 of this race carries more.... Well this is the race in which Marc's AVON SCENT runs and golly its a damn awful race in truth!!..i would dearly love to see this win but on the basis of what its actually shown on the track so far i cannot say that it has endeared itself to me in any way and can offer nothing but hope and i dont even think the 33/1 is of any value..yes that poor indeed...However it has been discussed and trivialized before and we have mused over reasoning's , hood , visor, trip , ground, tactics and in truth for a lot of most of its races it has run with pace and enthusiasm however when push comes to shove it finds or does little now this could be more than lack of ability as i do think it has some however its application of such is the focus here as it could be a case of her simply not enjoying her racing , she may get bored and as silly as it may seem some just get excited by he day out go for a 3f sprint and then think..." thats it now..hay time "...and simply dont bother and that could be such a factor here so its fingers crossed and good luck but from a punting view i like the look of THE REEL WAY at around 8/1 who has genuine excuses for not competing stronger in the last couple and a modest affair such as this looks within her scope but again personally i wont in on the single instead im going to have an EW Double with Knight of Air from the previous race and hope they both place at least for a nice profit ( and a couple of squids on Avon....Just in case ). - Avon ran a much better race in 5th but still well beaten and i dont see this ever winning now in truth and all i can do is wish them well , The Reel Way was bastard 4th and as Knight of Air was 3rd thats me EW double on the Kyboshed..fecking 4th..again..sigh but only for nibbles and fucking dicky will be wooping as the sheistyer would have backed the Harris runner to win this as he mentioned it on our Facebook page and it won at 14/1!!!...deary me...
The remaining 3 races are not on my radar and are left alone...so thats Chepstow dusted off and all i can say is Good Luck Marc/Debbie X.
Do we have anything at Hamilton to whet our appetite today ?....
The first race is a Maiden and as we know its not my thing however QUIET REFLECTION is a horse that interests me as i fancied this the other day but it got pulled out due to the ground and this Lowther Entrant could be different gravy from a yard that knows the time of day with their Juveniles and this rates a strong win bet.- 1st @ 2/1 ( Won by an easy 5L )

Alan Berry has Electric Qatar in the next and at 20/1 its having some ( although im not sure in what format yet ) , he also has Partners Gold in the next and that is also 66/1 so a small fap at least is worth including. - 2nd @ 15.50 ( Beaten a S.H )

POLARISATION looks nailed on in the next but its impossible to predict exactly what any MJ horse will do. - 1st @ 4/5

Moonlight Venture and Indian Chief should scrap out the finish in the next whilst it would be a shock if Glad Tidings got rumbled ( 1st @ 3/10 ) and JAY KAY pissed up lto and the Hat Trick looks a cert on form but i will also have a fun nibble on the berry runner and may stick a sheckle on the rfc as its an astonishing 100/1 lol..but Jay Kay has this to lose only.- 1st @ 5/6

Well thats another poor days racing covered with no real Longbow bets to look upon , some shorties for quick Cash and some bonkers bets for fun EW acca's but no real serious bets today.
Morning World ,
Well yesterday went past pretty much as expected drawing a blankety blank and i didnt even get a fucking cheque book n pen..how gutted am i ;-)..

So today we have three meeting to peruse , two thru the day and Sandown this evening although im hoping i can make my profit before the evening racing starts as it becomes a long day but as my shoulder is still a bit fucked i cant play golf or anything else so i guess it may be a bit more decorating for me as i want the house to be looking spic n span before my little egg is hatched ;-) ( Dec 1st ).
So Today its Lingfield and Catterick up first and i think a browse thru Lingfield is where we shall start.

LINGFIELD

The meeting starts with a Maiden and a Fillies maiden at that and this as you know is usually a no go for me unless i either have some solid info or something at a price catches my eye ( had a nice 48.0 winner in a maiden last week so guess my PnL will be plus lol ) and there is one in this race i like but for pretty much one reason alone.
We have quite a few coming into this with a variety of form levels but my selection is unraced however it is trained by probably the best handler of fillies in the country...bar none..and that man is Ralph Beckett and his horse is CROWNING GLORY a filly by Speightstown out of a mare that is a very close relation to Storm Cat so it looks a very American pedigree but with the ground currently riding good to firm i would say this is a big positive why his runners are oft overlooked i still cannot figure as he is a quality trainer and this is 16/1 and may go higher as more comes in for the jollies and is a decent looking EW punt , if you fancied an EW dutch of Fap dutch then i would suggest another unraced sort in JUMEERAH which is 20/1 and from the Tate yard and they do quite well and he is another trainer not short of skills and is worth following as he oft gets some very well bred sorts sent from his arab backers. - RESULT : Neither did anything but both shaped with promise although that doesnt help our bet today we can claim it back in the foootore ;)

The next race is Div of the Maiden above and it holds no interest for me so we shall move onto Race 3 Which is a tidy little 8 Runner Hcap and it just falls within my scope but this is a mighty poor race with only two having any worthwhile form and they top the betting at 3.15 & 3.90 and neither inspire much confidence so im going to have an EW on MANDRIA in the hope the 251 day break has let her grow a bit and strengthen up and we hopefully see some improvement as she was only beaten 3L lto and if she can find just 6-8lb then she will get placed or win and that is imo well within its scope but i wont take anything less than 10/1 for this and nor should you. RESULT : NO BET for me here which was just as well as Mandria was unplaced @ 6/1 as the front two were 1st n 2nd as expected on the form n market share.

Race 4 is just a massive PPL race so im steering clear but Race 5 is another 8 runner Hcap and in truth i think Cashel Man will hose up in this and the 2.16 is probably a decent punt and Sniper may well be all over it but its not for me and i like to try and take the Favs on and i going to go with a runner that even placing gets me a better return than the winner and i think FITZWILLY who at around 16/1 ( would be nice if i can get 20's ) is worth rowing in with a 4 time winner over this trip with 3 of those on the level and still well weighted ( in fact 5lb lower than its last win at Goodwood ) and this will be staying on when others have cried foul may not have the class to beat Cashel Man but can stay on for a place and the 3.0+ Fap is a better bet than the 2.16 for the win on the Fav and that will be my bet ( 25%/75% ).

An all age maiden next and i dont like this although Irish Hawke did peak a small of interest in me but Race 7 is up and its game on with a nice 10 runner Hcap with the top two in the betting looking head n shoulders above these although that isnt saying much as this lot are decidedly modest at best and i do think the pro bet here is a Fap Dutch on Cahar Fad / Zebead but its not a longbow type bet and i cannot find anything to take the top on with so theres a good argument for Win Dutching those and as much as i like to have a go in these ( all 8-14 runner Hcaps are my niche zone ) i simply cant in this..so either do the win dutch or the pro bet.

The Finale on a long day at Lingers is a nice Hcap and hopefully a nice way to round the day off.Over a stone difference splits top to bottom yet virtually nothing separates them on form with most of these yet to show anything to note and this could conceivably be a bunched finish such is the make up of this race.JUST BECAUSE is a bit of a headcase in truth and will have to settle and behave but if he can then this has every chance of making the frame or better on the balance of its last four runs and is 1lb than its last win just wins ago as that was on the AW at Chelmsford so i think the Fox needs to keep a clear head get a clear line thru and run on at the finish and he could get some money banked and hopefully the two likeliest winners Chella Thriller and Whosethedaddy will cut each others throats up front.

That wraps up Lingfield so lets take a peek a boo at Catterick.

CATTERICK
This is another meeting that opens up with a Fillies maiden ( this is when they come strong ) and the one i did like Quiet Reflection has just been withdrawn at 1150 so we shall leave alone although i would like to see Quinn's horse run well as i like to see the smaller stables get some tasty runners.
The next 3 races are all bypassed so we move swiftly onto Race 5 and its a 9 runner Hcap.Very little to separate these either in weight or performance and ability so it will be worth looking at the better priced runners here and WINDFORPOWER has to be involved at 20/1 and cant be left out and i think the Waggot 1st string SOLAR SPIRIT is also worth including in any EW dutch or fap double as this arrives in decent nick and will be in the mix for most as the weights are favorable.

The final two races offer me nothing so that is a wrap on a poor days racing at the Garrison with only a Fap Dutch to recommend, whilst at SANDOWN this evening i like the look of the win double with
1. MAN OF HARLECH
&
2. MYTHICAL MOMENT
but the prices wont be great but as a double its a decent enough effort for a quiet evening , good luck play nice have fun , ttfn x.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04158311979572259977noreply@blogger.com0
