Abbey Angel was always going to make up into a better three-year-old. She’s rated 90 and I’d like to think she’s going to be a Black Type filly at some stage.

We only ran Akeed Champion once last year on soft ground at York which didn’t suit him at all. He’s in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas and while that may be something of a shot in the dark, you never quite know. We’re going to run him in one of the trials and see where we stand.

Arcano Gold is a horse I love. He’s one for handicaps but is very genuine and tries hard and has done extremely well over the winter. We’re delighted with him.

Ballymore Castle is rated 100 and is quite a nice horse. He might run in the Free Handicap or the big sales race at the Craven Meeting. He’s a six or seven furlong horse with the hope he might get a little further. He could be alright.

Beardwood had one run last back end when second at Doncaster. He’s a fine, big horse that was backward last year and always going to be better at three.

Bonds Girl won the big sales race at Doncaster last year. It’s going to be tough enough for her this term off a mark in the mid 90s but she tries very hard and it will be interesting to see how she gets on.

Brotherly Company had one run last year when second at Redcar. He was another who needed another year and I’d imagine he’ll end up in staying handicaps and potentially at a higher level as well.

Darrington is a progressive type of horse and you’d hope he’ll keep getting better with age. He’ll hold his own in handicaps.

Don’t Touch is unraced. I really liked him last year and felt he was one of our better two-year-olds but he had a setback. He’s come back in great order and we’re happy with him again.

Farham is another I really like. Big and backward at two, he was always going to make a better three-year-old. He goes down the handicap route.

Flashy Memories ran once and won in 2014. He’s by Dubawi out of a good mare in Flashy Wings. He could be progressive and starts this year with a mark of 83. I’d like to think he’ll go beyond that. - 2nd @ 12/1

George Bowen ran plenty of times last year and, hand on heart, I was a little disappointed with him. His work was always better than the form on the track. He could progress this year.- 1st @ 11/2

Grandads World is a nice horse and one we always liked. He had a little setback early on last year and was learning his trade with racing later on. He’s rated 90 and could come good.

Home Cummins had a good season last year and while she needs to progress again given where the handicapper has her, I always felt she was going to be better at three.

Jumeirah Glory is a tough, hardy handicapping type of horse who should stay well. He’ll be ok this year.

Lacing took an age to win her first race – but chose a good one to do it in – a £150,000 sales race at Newmarket. We really liked her all last year and she’ll end up with Black Type for certain.

Liberty Sky ran once and is a really, really nice filly. She’s a great, big type who could progress into a nice staying horse.

Louis Vaz De Torrez had a setback last summer but has done well on the all-weather this winter. He’s had a bit of a break and could end up a decent handicapper.

My Dad Syd is unraced but quite nice. We didn’t get him until quite late and just when we had him ready for a run he had a cough so we left him alone. He could be alright.

Pamushana is by Teofilo so you’d expect her to improve as she gets older. She’s another who could do well in handicaps this year.

Realtra had a good season last year as a result she’s rated quite highly. She’s not very big but tries hard and we’ll keep her in the mix.  She’ll have to run to a high level to be competitive off her mark though.

Spring Offensive is one I really like. He just got touched off in the nursery at York and was always going to make a better three-year-old. He’s the sort who should go through the handicap ranks and hopefully a little further.

Even though he won at Wolverhampton in January, Woofie has always worked better than his form on the track. He’s on a bit of a break at the moment but being by Duke Of Marmalade you’d have to think there’s more to come.

Zuhoor Baynoona is rated nearly 100 and is a sprinter. She’s very fast so it will be five and six furlongs for her and you’d imagine such a big filly is only going to get better.

TWO-YEAR-OLDS

As a bunch we are very happy with them. We have a large team and some really nicely bred ones too. We have some Dubawis that we like, Dutch Arts that are nice along with Exceed And Excels. Of the first season sires we have some Lilbourne Lads we like along with a Zoffany colt.
