Tough Day today.....

May have to revise target or adjust staking today....Struggling to find and angle...
WOW!! , That was tough going today ( as expected ) , had quite a few trades and lays that dint quite come off today , thought it was gonna be " just one of those days " , however i stuck at it , actually backed ( BTL ) a couple today which come off which was nice , didnt reset my target kept it at £50 as i was going to plough on thru the evening cards and cork if i had to , but at just after 17-30 i was £56-23 up so very happy , all in all a decent day , keeping my head and staying focused.....

Of the FLAT season proper....Hoorah!!...Good ol Catterick kicks it all off this year instead of Doncaster , overall the racing doesnt seem to bad, certainly some good trading ops available ,
Got all my jobs done today, had a walk round town , which tbh was quite painful as my legs hurt like fuck after tennis yesterday...

Well that was nice , had a fright in the first when i thought i was gonna lose £48 but thankfully the horse i layed got beat ( was 1.01 )!! , then calmed down and took a steady hold , chipped away and made the target easily in the end..actually made £59-44 So very happy....
Looking forward to tmrw , well every day actually...

So at 16-10 ive finished work ;-D , not bad 2 hours a day...

Its Tues and...

Had my First Tennis match of the year against sledge ( http://sledgetrader.blogspot.com )  , He won 3-6 , 7-5 , 2-6 , but tbh i kinda chucked last 4 games in as i had no movement left in my legs....Shudda called it a draw and quit at 1-1 ( he wud have taken it lol ) , but well played as usual mate , some great rallies .

On the Trading front , the racing looks rather low on quality today and the NH  scene looks dire but hey ho thats the way its gonna go some days , just gonna have to try and pick up bits and pieces where i can , the magic £50 looks like its gonna take some earning today......Lets see...;-)

**Right o , its 16-39 and ive had enough today...very hard going , but expected with the quality on offer today , however i cruised past my £50 target for today gleaning a quite respectable £61-42 so cant grumble , no real big swings today and everything pretty straight forward..
So Just needed 2 hours 39 mins at work today ;-))...Not a bad way to earn a living IMO.

Morning all....

Monday morning , feeling better now after losing out in a stand off between me and 2 gallons of lager!! , back to the grind today , and a grind it will  to be for now , daily targets are revised and for now will be £50-£65 , on a five day week , so £250 pw is the Minimum , £325 would be nice , when i have increased the bank i will increase the stakes accordingly , but for now we are playing safe....17 races @ £3 a race = £51 , that will be my minimum acceptable return , obv this is subject to change as i will looking at trading more on the " in running " markets , right coffee time , i will check back later , ttfn...;-D

Well its 17-16 and thats me done for today , Made my target today , actually made £65-95 so right bang in the zone for that , actually reached £72+ at one stage but had a minor setback when i played a race all wrong....;-( , nm , still only had 2 losing bets all day and i can live with that , considering the racing was of a very poor standard today....See yall tmrw ;-)

WoW..what a day ...

Sorry no early musings today as i had no idea what time i was going to be back , my car failed its M.O.T badly , needed considerably more spent on it than it was worth so chopped it and bought a nice cheap little Mondeo , cheap to run , service and everything else , so hopefully that will give me plenty of nice hassle free days of motoring...;-)
Anyway i digress , i got back just after 3 after missing loads of the earlier races and all the winning Favs and got stuck in , made a very steady £5 on first race and settled down to get on with some serious trading , although i dont quite know what happened , not in the zone? ,  rushing ? , whatever it was i quickly spunked off £140+ in two races.....FFS!! , i sat the next out , got a brew and decided i needed to get my shit together , so come up with an action plan that involved backing a horse i figured to be way overpriced then lay in running....this worked a treat and i quickly got back £107...then had a couple of minor slips in the euphoria of winning , then settled back down...Now sitting down this aft i set my self a target of £50 and stop , so to find that after my last of the day my P n L was £49-36 was a very pleasant surprise.....wd me i say....But ffs i rly cud do wi out all the arsenumbing swings...must learn the lessons and concenfuckingtrate!!....cannot do this slapdash, thats all bollocks......
I wont be around at all tmrw as i have a very important meeting down in London...and in all honesty i prolly wont be back now till Sunday at the earliest , so enjoy the rest of your week TTFN ;-))

Lovely Sunny Day , and a little warm..finally!! , almost tennis time ;-) , Car is in having its MOT today otherwise i would be out playing golf ;-D , got quite a busy ol week ahead , some life changing decisions to be made??!! , hmm..had a week to consider and still undecided...oh my!! , arsenal as disappointing as ever over the weekend only managing a workmanlike 2-2 versus west brom ( sigh ) , we patently are not good enough for the league , we have 3 maybe 4 top top players and the rest of the squad is average at best , just not good enough , when fab , persie , walcott or wilshere dont play the team is very ordinary and only slightly better when they are in...we NEED a world class keeper , 2 Centre backs , and 1 or even 2 ( for cover ) world class strikers....

Onto the Racing , both those races i highlighted yesterday through gr8 value lays that duly got stuffed inc Fahey's 4/7 hotpot in the first...;-)
Todays racing is typical Mon Fare , 3 meetings with races every 5 mins to keep me interested...
Today i am setting myself a target of £80 , 15 races @ £6 per race.....

**Well its 16-33 and im done for the day , which is nice , however i had to squirm again when again on 2nd race i dicked me sen for £85!!! , ffs....But thankfully all other lay / trades went for me , quite a few too many hairy moments today tbh , but it is shitty monday racing so to be expected imo...
However i did almost make my target for today ( £80 ) as i stopped when i was UP £79.63 , so very happy all in all....sun is still out and it gr8 ;-))

Was going to...

Take the day off , but Mrs Degen  doesnt want to do owt today, so shes gone off to the shops and left me at home , and tbh i cant rly be arsed doing owt me sen , so its the start of flat season , well in Ireland at least anyway and no doubt all of Ao'briens horses will get punted , but R H Fahey has sent quite a few over inc an odds on shot in the first , gonna have to lay that....laying odds on shots in maidens  = £££ in my book long term you will always come out ahead , and the o'brien horse ridden by j p o'brien in the last , that sticks out at 3/1 to be a gr8 lay , other than that not sure how i am going to attack today as in running and trading on irish races can get crazy as the prices on some fluctuate like mad , gonna set myself a very reasonable target today of £60 which falls nicely in line with my pre-set targets of £55-£80 per day , dont think i will be having any monster bets today...gonna just grind away at around the £2-£6 per race region....

Well that was nice, had a little £85 set back early on , fkin Orish racing , couldnt get any trade off and flicking between 3 screens and 4 markets led me to cocking up....but i digress , i did steam the following race and had it back with 3 races , continued to slow up a bit and pay more attention to what's going on , come out of the day just over £90 UP so again a very solid set of figures , only played for £60 so to get over £90 makes me feel very good , stakes were varied but am getting a total green about 90% of the time with the red screens only offering a very limited liability , and offering me some great value , ie: getting a lay on at Even money on a 8/1 shot.....So that type of bet is always welcome....
So its currently 17-06 and ive finished early, the suns out and all is well in the world....;-)

Todays Targets..

Going for the Magic £100 again today, 4 decent meetings on thru the day ( noy bovvered wi eve meet, thats beer time )...so gonna try and ave £4 a race , that shud bring me to £100 nicely come 5 o clock...not bad for 4 hours work......lets see how we get on......

Wow Wow , what a rollercoaster type day , only had 3 losing bets but they cost me over £200+ ;-((( ,
Still Managed to end the day UP by £69.89 which considering those losses was great, its 17-53 and work is now done for today..Been a hard, fast frantic day, races every 5 mins.....Its a lot to try and take in...
But i set myself a target of £55-£80 so trying for the magic £100 today was maybe a bit greedy but still happy with £69.89, every day that makes a decent wage...for 4-5 hours a day sat at home , in the warm watching some racing....Muzznt grumble ;-)..

A new Dawn...................

After what can only be described as an " awkward " year , going full time, then part time , then ere and there , then full time....i am now back to trading full time , i have trialled with some success a great nos of systems , plans and styles , with a very larger bank roll it is very possible to make a decent wage , however with a smaller bank its somewhat more taxing , Phoenix Racing consists of 3 friends of mine and im kinda following a plan set by them , with my bank at £500 i plan on making £55-£80 a day Trading so over a five day week i should be paying myself £275 - £400, of which 30% will be retained in order to grow the bank and allow me to trade larger sums in the future...
So let the adventure begin.........

Wow what a day !! , some abs incred racing which culminated in a superb Gold Cup , amazing scenes , from the 2nd last with all the heroes in a line....Brilliant , Long Run will now reign supreme for a good few years..
Anyway...i digress , how did i get on today , ok i think , made a total £104 today with £91-16 coming from the Horses , so very happy , and its only 16:01 and i can now finish for the day...;-)

So they ya go a few green screens from today , as u see some races i onmly manage to make £2 , others i make £20+......as long as i can keep hitting me targets i am very happy.....time for some beers now...
