Weds Advance Card/Bets/Thoughts...
A decent days racing with a fair looking early evening card at Kempton and it Kempton where I shall be attacking....
Race 1
Kempton Park 16:45
Betdaq Multiples Handicap
£3500.00 added, 4yo plus, 1m 2f, Class 5
..This is a comPetitive race where many have a live chance and most a case can be made, megalala, cheyslemore are two of the more likely winners among others with real proven form, however I like the potential improver in this field ROCKY ELSOM , formerly with J Oxx , ran a few decent races and looks like a horse to whom a step up in trip will be welcomed its my view that this horse has the potential to easily be a 85+ rated horse that statement cannot really be applied to any others as they are already as good as they are going to be, natural improvement and a good ride from the reliable Crowley will see this go close.
Result : Obvious choice and PAS selection Nibani wins @ 5/2...Grrrrr! , Rocky Elsom is Unplaced!.
Race 2
Kempton Park 17:15
Back Or Lay At betdaq.com Handicap
£6300.00 added, 4yo plus, 5f, Class 4
...Another highly competitive race and one that makes me hanker for the flat season proper, there are again many in this race with chances but without synopsis I will be sticking with EARLSMEDIC beaten a head on fri, is holding its form supremely well and you will gteed a big run.
Result : Unplaced....Sigh , i knew i shouldnt have bothered today....

Ermyntrude , this is my choice here but is one fraught with risk, ran poorly last time when 5-1f but that was over 1m3f this is a 6f blast??, that is gamble methodology and this horse could easily be trained by Sir Mark.
I'm sorry about the short reviews, but I'm on my I phone , I am in Leeds all day tmrw the bets are going on now, the bets will be low stakes today as the confidence levels are lower, so I will be having a mixture of £25ew doubles and trebles., ** Have reviewed this and was going to add £25ew acca , but am now doing a straightforward £25EW Yankee...Good Luck everyone..G , hope the waters burst ;-@@@
My LOTD is Macks Sister in the 18:45, £150 @ bfsp.
***The only good thing from today was the lay but then I spunked that off with my place back, so a poor day today....be better tmrw.

Tues Advance Cards...
Upon request ( mr rawnsley ) i am doing Tmrw's selections early , however i will point out that if there any non runners, alterations i will alter 15 mins b4 the race..Tmrw i will be looking at SOUTHWELL only ,
__________________________________________________________
RACE 1
...A rather poor race with a lot of runners but no class or quality , the only horse that stands out here is SPACECRAFT , an obvious choice as it is again being ridden by J Fanning who rode it last twice both over CD and was 2nd and 1st , Fanning has been a revelation on the AW and with this combo in seemingly great form against a very poor field its a pointless task looking elsewhere as i feel the current 2.82 is considered by me as value, fearless poet and very well read are the obvious and imo only dangers, but i feel that only Spacecraft can be relied upon to run his race. 2nd ( 1.18 )
RESULT :

RACE 2
..A very competitive race and one that requires great inspection , i have 4 to concentrate on here and the first three are LAFFAN ( 1st ) , SONSIE LASS ( 2nd ) and M J WOODWARD, these three are all in very good form and any one of these could win i have them only separated by 0.5secs so in racing terms it would be no surprise to see them all cross together but the really interesting thing here is all 3 like to front run , make all or generally lead, all three of these like to dominate and will be fighting for the best position and i feel that this could also lead to their downfall as they could cut each others throat and tire each other out this is where my selection and 4th choice comes in SUNNY SIDE UP , this based on its last bit of CD form is actually 0.23 secs quicker so we know it has pace , it is in form and more importantly it likes to sit just off the pace and attack the front ranks at the business end and imo if he gets a good slip thru he can catch these nappin the only negative for me is the jockey a relatively unknown quantity , he rides well , the horse gets a good split , it then has every chance and at 6.8 is a very fair price.
RESULT :3rd @ 8.8 / 2.34
_________________________________________________________
RACE 3
...One of my niche races and a poor one the first to mention is Ecossaise a thoroughly disappointing sort tried over a variety of trips and without much success i could never back this eternally frustrating sort so with that i can only see one other horse here fit to win and that is SPIN CAST a horse with any amount of potential and a mix of some solid proven form and with its last run where it was unlucky after getting bumped and hampered losing its place and then running on this imo is the only horse with the requisite class and it should be too good for the rest even without any improvement, 2.92 is a fair price , this will def place so G get £50 put on in the place only market and you will have your daily amount ;-)). 3rd ( 1.52 )
RESULT :

RACE 4
... Having decided to go for fourth i have no alternative other than to look towards the rather tricky finale!! however one horse which is well in weight wise and has recent proven form ( CD ) is ANDIAMO VIA , this will be a rough race but if Mullen can again get this out quick and stay clear of the likely trouble behind then i feel it could well double up here although i am low on confidence with this one , tbh it wouldnt even make a bronze bet..more like tinfoil...but there ya go..3rd ( 2.76 )
RESULT :
_________________________________________________________
BET CONCLUSION : 4 Selections and i will go with a £15 WIN L15 , a £50 EW ACCA , £75 Single on Spacecraft, a £75 LAY on ABSHIR ZAIN ( bcked in from 20.0 into 7.8 and was unplaced as expected ) as i have this as my strongest ratings lay all meeting and a £75 LAY on Mini Diva ( unplaced ) my 2nd best LOTD, any alterations to follow.
Enjoy the bets, enjoy your day , keep smiling.
Results Analysis : Lucky 15 was a loser with no winners so thats - £225 , my win bet went south so thats another - £75 totalling £300 in LOSSES...
However both my lays were good giving me £150 in profits and the £50 acca was good as all 4 got placed and that returned a PROFIT of £716!! so another corking day imo with an overall profit of £566+

Timeform's Flat Ratings for 2011
Timeform Racehorses of 2011: Frankel the best for 39 years
2011 was The Year of Frankel in Flat racing terms, a statement that is supported by Timeform's ratings of the leading performers, released today in advance of the publication of Racehorses of 2011 in March...
Frankel's annual rating of 143 is the highest since 1972, the year in which Brigadier Gerard posted 144. Sea-Bird (145 in 1965) and Tudor Minstrel (144 in 1947) are the only other horses to have been rated more highly than Frankel in Timeform's long history.
Frankel is a remarkable 8 lb clear of the next-highest horse, Black Caviar, and 10 lb ahead of the next-highest in the Northern Hemisphere, margins unprecedented in recent times.
The Sir Henry Cecil-trained colt is unbeaten in nine starts, including the Two Thousand Guineas, the Sussex Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in the latest year.
Any of those successes would have qualified Frankel for Horse of The Year status. Timeform rated him 142 after the first of those wins and edged him up to his current figure after the Queen Elizabeth.
The Guineas was Frankel's most breathtaking performance, and it was also the race in which he recorded easily the best timefigure (136) by any horse in the campaign.
Timefigures, which measure performances strictly in terms of the overall race time, tend to lag behind form ratings by a few pounds. Frankel's time performance in the Guineas was the best of the 21st century so far, despite the fact that he slowed after going a long way clear.
The Sussex saw him dismissing leading older miler Canford Cliffs (rated 133) hands down, and the Queen Elizabeth saw him give handsome beatings to fellow three-year-olds Excelebration (133) and Immortal Verse (126).
The Australian-trained mare Black Caviar is unbeaten in 16 starts and posted several 130+ ratings among her eight appearances on home turf in 2011. Her rating of 135 has her behind only Allez France and Habibti (both rated 136, in the 1970s and 1980s respectively) among fillies/mares in Timeform's history.
Talk of Black Caviar and Frankel meeting on the racecourse in 2012 seems speculative - for all that they both stay in training and Black Caviar may travel to Britain - but it should be remembered that Black Caviar would have a sex allowance (thus narrowing the apparent gap between them) if they did.
Leading ratings in Racehorses of 2011
143 Frankel
135 Black Caviar
133 Dream Ahead
133 Excelebration
133 Canford Cliffs
133 Cirrus des Aigles
Sprinters
Black Caviar aside, the sprinters were a decent bunch in 2011, with Dream Aheadleading the way on 133 (as against a five-year average for champion sprinter of 128). That figure was gained in defeating the 129-rated older mare Goldikova narrowly in the seven-furlong Prix de la Foret, but Dream Ahead also took the July Cup and the Sprint Cup at the more conventional sprint distance of six furlongs. He had Bated Breath(125) in second in both those races, but stiffer opposition would have been provided by Deacon Blues (130, and winner of his last five races) and Hoof It (a close third in the Sprint Cup when short of room) at their best. Hoof It (128) put up the handicap performance of the century when winning Goodwood's Stewards' Cup comfortably under 10-00.
Milers
It was a case of Frankel first, the rest nowhere, among the milers, though the aforementioned Excelebration had already shown he was a class act with wide-margin victories in the German 2000 Guineas and Hungerford Stakes before Frankel beat him comfortably by four lengths in the Queen Elizabeth. Canford Cliffs was beaten a length further than that by Frankel in the Sussex, veering off a true course late on, but probably ran a bit better when accounting for Goldikova by a length in the Queen Anne previously.
Middle-distancers
There was no Sea The Stars or Harbinger (both rated 140) in 2011, but the French-trained Cirrus des Aigles lacked nothing in consistency and toughness, winning five of his 11 starts, including the Champion Stakes on the inaugural British Champions Day at Ascot from So You Think (131) and Snow Fairy (128). Danedream's clear-cut win in the Arc earned her a rating of 132 - just 1 lb behind Star Appeal, the only previous German-trained winner of the race (in 1975) - and should be viewed in the context of her being eligible for a sex allowance. Rewilding (132), Workforce (130) and Cape Blanco (128, in the USA) were other notable achievers in what is usually the strongest category.
Stayers
The staying performance of 2011 came from a horse, in Americain, finishing fourth under top weight in the Melbourne Cup. The French-trained six-year-old's rating of 129 is around par for a leading stayer in the modern era but came in a fairly weak division. The St Leger winner Masked Marvel ran to 126.
Two-year-olds
If 2012 is to be another vintage year, it could do with help from the up-coming classic generation. The 2011 crop of leading juveniles in Europe was rather substandard, andHarbour Watch is the lowest-rated divisional leader since Bago (also 121) in 2003. The American-trained filly My Miss Aurelia (122) actually has the distinction of being the highest-rated juvenile anywhere in the year under review.
Evening/Night/Morning All....
Cant really sleep so ive trawling thru some cards and data and more boring shizzle drizzle , ive decided for tmrw i will have three races , all will be Silver rated or Gold and i will have 3 bets on these as i write i still havent decided what i will do but will know by the time i have finished....
Race 1
..The horse in question is LASTKINGOFSCOTLAND , a horse that has had a busy year ( last calender ) and is a trier is running in this apprentice race with arguably the best rider , is running over his best trip and wasnt beaten far last time out , the make up of this race and the durge in opposition lead me to believe that this could and should see him back in the winners enclosure , he has yet to win here but has had 3 runs and come 3rd each time and in higher grade/better quality races i think this is a gift of an EW bet , will be very surprised if this doesnt place , imo KT will steer this home but he has to utilise the horses stamina as it likes to run on...1st @ 5.30 / 2.05
RACE 2
..A race that interests me greatly even tho like the other for today they are outside of my maidens only remit ( my niche ) , the horse i will be backing here is NEAR GERMANY , an old stager yes but one in which a lot of ability is prevalent and not that many miles on the clock , last time out it ran over hurdles opened up at 14/1 was backed very heavily into 6/1( hasnt had a run for three years!! ) suggesting they expected a win that day and was 1 length clear in front when it fell at the last !! , so i think that maybe today they could be on a small recovery mission ( no hurdles to jump ) in a modest contest against minor opposition and with minor prize money on offer this will be a stable gamble im sure , this opened up at 7.2 ( £2 backed ) and is now trading at a decent looking 20.0 this looks very attractive and a trade option here also looks good...NON-RUNNER
RACE 3
...There are a couple of potential improvers in this race by the name of Henry Clay and Angel Gabrial , now these two could both improve and run good races and even possibly win however Henry Clay has been weakening in his races come the final 150yrds and looks vulnerable to anything with a finishing kick and Angel Gabrial ran well in its maiden but then only about 3 lengths covered the first 9 home and the form has not really been franked since so i will hold a waiting brief on that one, the one i am interested in here is DUBWAWI CHEETAH from the Fahey yard , Sheik Mohammed Bin Maktoum doesnt send many to the northern trainers and the ones he does warrant some respect , on breeding it looks like it could be a fair sort , i am guessing to a degree here as i would prefer to see it in the paddock before making my brief but i will stick my neck out and say this could run a good race and will have enough about her ( bay filly ) to give the main 2 something to worry about and at its current 6.8 looks the value call for ew, place or trading.- RESULT : Where do we start?? , FIRSTLY IT GOT BACKED INTO 4.0 pre off then hit a low of 2.78 , then drifted and then ran on , with henry clay winning and just outstaying mine into 2nd this will win a race or two thats for sure, oh so nearly today but cant complain, 2nd will do.- 2nd @ 11/4
BET CONCLUSION: Considering their prices and that my new year roll is quite in profit , i will be having A £25 EW PATENT ( £350 ) and a £150 LAY on GEORGEBERNARDSHAW ( UNPLACED ) in the 14:55 Wolverhampton ( to offset some of the cost ) , i will also be leaving in 3 x £100 in running lays @ 1.08.
I will be around most of the day should there be any updates, if anyone wants to discuss any races feel free to email me , have a great breakfast , ttfn ( G lets hope the waters dont break just yet ;-@@ )...
UPDATE:Potential returns ( est ) , if DUBWAI CHEETAH gets a place my main bet returns..
..and if it wins...
....
So fingers crossed, but as all my lays have been great today is already fully expensed and nicely in profit....im starting to feel the lurve ;-)

OOOh its a Sunday...
Morning/Afternoon/Whatever........well yesterday was a bit of a write off as i started the day late and ended up going to a friends house to sort out his router and lappy probs , then as a " reward " we went out and had a drink or two..or three...or four.....after speaking to " G " i think i will also be taking Sat and Suns off from full trading as i need the break and i do all my best work in the week which is strange as the best racing is usually at the weekends!...but Saturdays have been fairly shit for me in general and besides its that time of the week when m,y friends etc are not at work so the weekends for me will now be very lightweight....I do like one horse today and this will be my only bet for today, the horse in question is DA'QUONDE in the 15:50 @ SOUTHWELL and this is a SILVER rated EW bet , currently 5.2/2.36 this is fair value was hoping for more but will take this , Tom eaves again takes the ride on the lto CD winner and he knows now what is required , get to the front , ...and stay there and if any challenge, repel them! , we now know this likes a battle as shown and as nothing in this jumps out i can see this again beating Gorgeous Goblin and Beachwood Bay was a whole second slower when winning over CD lto.
Only 1 race for me tmrw as well as i will be sticking to my remit for now and that will be the 16:55 Wolverhampton a race in which only 3 are involved however a GOLD RATED bet will emerge ;-).
What to do today..Hmm , not to sure , just enjoyed some crackling fresh from the pork joint , thank you mrs ;-) , think im going to have a film day , but quite happy juz chilling tbh , may even se if i can get this pc to run Left 4 Dead 2 if it does i may partake in the slaying of some Zombies! , i also fancy a game of poker so thats another option....
Gonna get off for now , have a great day everyone and G ..Good luck with the Bairn and hope everything goes brilliantly!!!
TTFN X
Result : DA'QUONDE Ran UNPLACED , Very Disappointing tbh ran to about 6th , ran no where near as well as it did lto never really pushed em and ran slow and weak , dont really know what to make of that as the only other horse that had the form to win Beachwood Bay won @ 4/1cf , it ran better than it had ever done before as others ran below their form leaving the way open , was 4/1cf but not that well backed % wise so hmm is all i can muster , yes there is an argument for me saying " well i should have dutched em " but i always felt DA'QUONDE was going to double up in this much weaker race but thats horse racing for ya , on the PLUS side i did get bits of my place lay and my win lay matched as it hit 1.10 in the place market and 2.38 in the win market so i didnt do to bad overall but as it was my only bet of the day i expected more....sorry G , hope your in running lay/s got matched.....Back to normal tmrw!!
