Saturday, 8 September 2012

Well its Saturday already....

Been quiet this week as i have been working on my PTS blog which is in its 5th day and after losing £120 on the first day has shown a good profit every day since , exciting times indeed however all bar one of todays 7 Gold Bets are in big or double figure prices...so on the face of things im up against it already...lets just hope my breeding book is right ;-).
Elsewhere today it looks a stellar day for racing with some great stuff both in the UK and in Ireland.
Here are some brief tips from around the British Isles...

ASCOT
14:35 BISPHAM GREEN is worth an EW as this has been improving in leaps n bounds recently and certainly looks to be getting the hang of things trip and ground are ideal and hes getting loads of weight here.
RESULT - 2nd @ 9.80

15:10 SPEEDI MOUSE is in cracking form and in a hot looking contest this looks like the solid , consistent sort i want on my side and the price allows for some EW fun.
RESULT - 7th

15:45 ARNOLD LANE this is a consistent sort but is a rather speculative choice in another wide open looking heat but is solid enough for my EW Trixie at Ascot.
RESULT - 5th

                                                      ********************

HAYDOCK
13:45 AL WAAB looks nailed on after winning very easily lto ( idled near finish ) beating a good bench mark in Ask Dad along with Timoneer , this will be racing in all the back end big Juvenile races and this should merely be a stepping stone.
RESULT - 2nd @ 3.7 ( beaten a HD )

14:15 MY PROPELLER is a selection from the heart as im such a fan and would love to see this get back to winning ways , on the best of last years form he would eat these up but has proven to be rather hit n miss but ran well for a long time lto over 1f longer so there is ever7y hope he can blast out and lead them all a merry dance however you may want to consider banging a short in running lay in say 2.6 and 1.16...
RESULT - 6th

14:50 THISTLE BIRD i love the look of this and afterjust getting caught close home by Premier Loco lto this has an outstanding chance of making amends today already a twice listed winner this is a cut above and looks absolute banker place material and i for one will be hammering it in the place.
RESULT - 1st @ 4.40

15:25 * Todays BIG Sprint * For such a prestigious race with a big field ( loads of collateral and absolute form lines )this really is just a 2 horse race between BATED BREATH & ORTENSIA , Bated Breath is our big hope and is a very classy beast indeed but has been slightly under performing mostly this year but a lot of that can be attributed to a softer than ideal surface and today he has absolutely everything in his favour and if he is to win then today will be it however ORTENSIA won firstly the King George stakes then the Nunthorpe stakes which is impressive but to win both in almost identical times of 57s is , well for a sprinter almost unheard of in terms of consistency and fluidity both from off the pace and now with her preferred GF ground she will take some beating today, the Aussies know how to produce good sprinters and this is indeed very special and on the balance of produced form this i think will be winning again today there are only a handful of horses in the UK that can run 57s for this trip and i dont think any are here today , quite simply a reproduction of either of its last two runs secures victory today.
RESULT - Bated Breath 3rd and Ortensia 12th

16:30 BIRCHAM with Fallon riding is very interesting , down in trip and a big price this could surprise a few today .
RESULT - 6th

Not sure what to do with all these here at Haydock? , i think maybe a big double on Al Waab/Ortensia and a very speculative EW Trixie on the other three...;-)

                                                            ***********************

Out of time now for any more ( getting some tennis in before work )...so the rest will be posted Ad Hoc on the FB page..Good Luck today everyone and have fun ;-)

Nicks Notes...

DOUBLE: Galleon and Mazeydd.
Galleon should take all the beating in the Betfred King's Regiment Cup Handicap at Haydock.
Hailing from a Sir Michael Stoute yard beginning to hit top stride, the selection is an unexposed three-year-old on an upward curve.
As befits a son of Galileo out of a Shirley Heights mare, stamina looks a strong point.
The Queen's colt took a big step forward when a staying-on second on his first try at a mile and a half at Kempton in July.
Allotted a mark of 82 for his handicap bow at Catterick, he made straightforward work of rewarding odds-on backers in beating Cottesmore with plenty in hand.
That form took a nice boost with the runner-up opening his account in good style next time out.
A lovely mover, this galloping track should suit Galleon down to the ground and he is likely to prove a good deal better than his current rating of 86.
Top-class handicapper Mac's Power looks to hold every chance in the Betfred "4X The Odds On Lucky 31's" Conditions Stakes.
Interestingly, James Fanshawe is trying him over seven furlongs for the first time since July 2010 and it could be that he needs that trip these days.
Whether we have seen the best of Jadanna is open to debate, but she is given another chance in the Country Gentlemen's Association EBF Dick Poole Fillies' Stakes at Salisbury.
Excellent efforts in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and, in particular, the Cherry Hinton were followed by a rather flat display at Goodwood.
It may have been she was feeling the effects of a busy spell there, however, and James Given has freshened her up since then.
That Cherry Hinton form does look really strong and a reproduction will see her in the shake-up, with Graham Lee on board for the first time.
Kempton's 32Red Handicap has only attracted a small field but it is an intriguing contest nonetheless and Mazeydd is fancied to come out on top.
The lightly-raced Motivator colt went into winter quarters looking a reasonable prospect, with the second of his two juvenile outings having seen a victory over Went The Day Well, who went on to run fourth in the Kentucky Derby for the Team Valor outfit.
He did not reappear until Sandown last month and while he finished down the field, he ran well enough given he will have needed the run in what was a hot race.
Mazeydd then won well stepped up to an extended 10 furlongs at Warwick.
His breeding suggests this extra furlong and a half will hold no fears.
Roger Varian again equips him with a hood, a tactic he has experimented with to good effect with a number of his string this season.
Heezagrey can bring up the hat-trick in the Cummins Diesel Dash Handicap Chase at Sedgefield.

One at a Price...

i have covered 9 races on the Premium site today and hopefully we will have a bit more joy after scooping just 1 winner and a £120 level stakes loss ( £100 LS ) on here today i will give you all one i think is way over priced and well upto winning , TROVARE ( 1640 Goodwood ) @ 34.0 and the rank outsider is both a Course and Distance winner that ran well lto is gteed to stay and will love the conditions , this could easily place at juicy odds and has a solid win chance.

Just the one..

One big tip today was posted yesterday on the fb page and it come third @ 41.09 ( 7.60 )  we have another single Gold selection for tmrw and that is.....only available via email..so if you want tmrw's top tip then email me and i will send it back ;-)...
Other than that its been a busy few weeks sorting accounts out, tracking data and race watching all the day to day humdrum that goes along with my work but i have had a few games of tennis and there has been a big improvement in my game over the summer and the latest game ( today ) was testament to that , we had rallies with power, finesse , spin , top , lobs and dinks...excellent stuff and yes i did win today 6-3 , 6-8 , 6-2 and it was a toughie , as they usually are but still great fun.
I am well over due a monster rant and im sure one wont be far away , a lot of the shit in the news lately makes me so mad i cant write let alone think! , on a sounder note i have been tracking voyager 1 and 2 as they leave our Heliosphere and enter inter stellar space which i think is both fascinating and wondrous with some incred pictures being sent back, its such a shame our life on this mortal coil is so painfully short ;0(.
Having been grimmed for the third and final time ( this time for £8k ) i have now shut down my Paypal account and wont be using it again ..ever..ridic scenes..ggrr..the law is an ass!!.
Quick recap on the season thus far and its been eventful, confusing and trite , High Points ..well obv Frankel the wonder horse and possibly Camelot but as daft as it sounds im not over enthused with Camelot just yet as i thought this years Derby was..well as my great friend Sledge would say..Dogwank!! , in fact all the classics this season have been a shade disappointing with all the best races coming from the lower lights and usually being won by a Gosden runner!.
i said pre season to follow J Doyle and that has been proved to be a good call as he along with switcher G Lee have both been superb and my breeding stats have been a brilliant help to me this season and the first season i have used the collected data for full on betting and trading, very pleased with the results.
Bit disappointed with the mid season Trolls claiming my race cards only pic favs out etc etc troll troll and then wanting to initiate communication after the abuse lol..one of them even went to the wordpress page to comment...but after speaking to my friends and other associates i found it within myself to ignore the tools and  move on but i still cannot understand the Internet and the Haters, the Trolls and the argumentative sorts  , surely if you dont like something you dont continue doing that thing in this case reading , why splurge hated and bile into print, modern day bullying i think , the rise of the keyboard warrior!!..tossers!
The weather this year has tbf played fucking havoc with all the early season stuff and then thru till end of June , then it would be soft/firm/soft/firm...making race predicting harder than ever sometimes just plain impossible.
I still think its a shame there isnt much banter on here ( one of the main reasons the posts slowed as i got fed up talking to myself when there were other avenues available ) and the Americans..i seemed to have developed a bit of a following from over the pond but they never talk?..maybe bots?..i dunno, shame tho at least AVERAGE GUY found the time to say Hi ;-)..
Dont forget guys n gals if you would like any specific race reviewing just ask , if you would like to join the FB page..enquire , ..right time to go as im rambling rather incoherently now , drink poured , film on pause, food is ready...excellent, night all..see ya thru the week ;-)
