Well Well...

Yesterday was a funny ol day but another solid 12% added to the bank so cant complain but still i cannot get Mark Johnston right , i back em they are unplaced , i lay them they win by 10 Lengths.....what an imponderable nightmare best just to leave alone along with Barney's and a few others...Yesterday still manage to throw a few googlies up tho but Saddlers Rock raced and won well proving my theory for the trip being too short to be total bollocks..sigh , Heavy Metal was indeed plenty good enough for an average renewal of the Richmond and Ghanaian never got going so day 3 at GG was not the best but i did ok elsewhere thankfully and the trading side is as always fairly rock solid.
Today we have Bangor , Thirsk and Day 4 of GG to contend with along with rather interesting looking evening stuff and i think just for today i shall post my Goodwood Race card with my " niche " races in highlight.

GOODWOOD

RACE 1
BACK - GATEWOOD - 3rd @ 3.3
EW - SONGCRAFT - 
OUTSIDER - QUEST FOR PEACE - 1st @ 6.16
*A real mish mash of runners here with a few collateral form lines to look at but the overall profile of most is not very inspiring as most are just inconsistent Hcappers at best , Dandino is not really listed class yet holds Bering , Dubai Prince won a very weak race lto and looks the stable 2nd string , Midsummer sun looks for average and Gatewood who is the only horse to have shown any real class lately is upped in both grade and more importantly trip so i really couldn't be backing it tbh , i think looking at this race that a place bet on Quest for Peace is probably the safe choice.

BACK - GREGORIAN - 
EW - TRUMPET MAJOR - 1st @ 6.60 ( Dead Heat )
OUTSIDER - STIPULATE - 
*This is more like it a decent race with some very nice sorts on show, some improvers , improving and most are generally consistent , this has a wide open feel to it . I do like Trumpet Major and will expect a far improved effort now back on a better racing ground but GREGORIAN who ran a fantastic race in both the Jersey Stakes and the Jean Prat deserves a change of luck and a win , on the balance of form there is nothing in front and this should almost certainly place , Stipulate imo didnt quite get the trip lto and this will be ideal another that will run a much better race.
