Winter Sand Stormers >>

Yes it is that time, the season of the WSS..the AW speed balls and Sand Lovers.

I have been quiet over recent weeks as i have struggled to garner much enthusiasm for the weekly fare and have been focusing my energies elsewhere but i am now looking to start a few sections a week based around our Winter flat runners as ofc as some of our wonderful NH cards ( cracking Open Meeting coming up at the weekend at Cheltenham ).

Today we turn to LINGFIELD , a straight forward track where class can come to the fore as it lacks the quirks or Wolverhampton or Kempton and a good front runner can do well here.

There are obv some jockeys who excel on the AW like the previously mentioned A Kirby and SDS but Luke Morris can navigate round quite well along with Martin Harley and these four are all worthy of consideration in every race.

So lets take a peek at Lingers....

Race order...

1. Lastkingofscotland has to be of interest now as this has dropped fully 18lbs since May and it will win eventually but its a case of catching it right and this is probably a " follow off a cliff " type...not for me but GL if your on.
Tee it up Tommo looks a likely improving type however its recent form figures forget to mention the fact that the horse that beat this was only rated 53 and behind was just 59 and carrying a core rating of 60 into even this lowly affair still leaves it with quite a bit to find with a lot of these even those racing below their form and at 2.24 i would say this is a fair shout for LOTD.

The winner imo will come from the top group of four which include Mishrif , Bloodsweatandtears , Dear Maurice and Santadelacruze.

Mishrif i think prefers Kempton but does have SDS riding , Bloodsweatandtears is probably still about 5lbs too high , Dear Maurice cannot be trusted but a price of 32/1 tells you that so my Value call here would be SANTADELACRUZE with Kirby riding , consistent and at about the right weight , Just touched off by a Head and a Nose lto at Kempton over this trip i think it will get every assistance from the saddle and should run a decent race and at 5.8 looks a cracking EW bet or an Outstanding FAP.

RESULT : Got the call right from the winning Quartet just backed the wrong one, however my big LAY on Tee up Tommo got me in profit. ( Result reversed in the Stewards room )
