Yesterday was another great day for the blog , nailing some of the days races pin perfect and team JTF hitting a few nice wins to keep our bandwagon and cash pile rolling along plus my friends over at the Hendo yard gave me some spot on Info and i nailed their Nap along with nice Irish winner Avrika Legionnaire in a nice Double but there has been trouble afoot as its not been all smiles and Gold as PSL ( Formerly PPL ) has took a hammering the last couple of days which took the edge off a rather excellent start to the month as we seem to have hit a rather unfortunate rich vein of " finding winners " form and with 3 in 3 days not even hitting a trade this has led us from a deep blue to a black and now to a red....can only hope this stops sharpish and we can start chivving some loot back over.....
Onto Friday and back to Cheltenham , this will take center Stage today even tho we have quite a few nice looking AW races to look at ( just take stock of what ive previously stated and follow team JTF ) so..Cheltenham here we come...
RACE 1 : STANDING OVATION ( WIN ) - UNPLACED ( Jumped poorly and looked uncomfortable all the way round weakening away 2 out )
And we open up proceedings with a tasty looking Amateur riders event and this holds many a winning candidate.
Victrix Gale is sure to go well for Tony Martin and will have his Irish supporters , Ruben Cotter has plenty of weight but also has a touch of class and in Will Biddick the Nicholls team have one of the better Ams about however i feel they will all struggle to overhaul the race fit and Five timer seeking STANDING OVATION , yes this has gone up 27lb since its winning spree began but lto it raced in a lofty Class 1 ( Listed Event ) and absolutely murdered them and the field contained some decent sorts in Poungach , Court by Surprise, Alfie Spinner and Pantxoa among others.
This is a horse on the charge and on the up n up and based on recent evidence i would say he is good for at least another 20lb which makes him as good if not better than anything racing here today and i see no reason why young Mr Clements cannot grind these into the ground ( Jockey should also be in confident mood after winning his last race on the 2nd Nov ) .

RACE 2 : EASTLAKE ( My overall choice although bet is a 3 way dutch ) - 2nd n 3rd @ 10.8 & 13.50 provided some EW Returns
Next we have a 17 runner 2m Hcap Chase....oooh those words send a shiver down me spine...you just know that without looking this is going to be a mare for punters....
And as i glance through it is just that...so many with chances this is not a race to go over board on but will be fun so small stakes and a three way dutch is the play here imo...
The first of my trio against the field will be SEW ON TARGET for the Tizzards , this has ran well on both outings thus far and was a good 2nd lto behind Johns Spirit here at Cheltenham over 2m4f just weakening in the final 2f but was tanking at the 1m7f pole and if running to a similar level will be bang there at the finish.
Secondly we have EASTLAKE a big brash son of Beneficial and from the powerful connections of JP McManus ( including AP as rider ) this 6 times distance winner has won on all ground types so there will be no issues there , can race from on or off the pace , can quicken from the last , jumps quickly and looks to have that bit of extra class and still has plenty of scope and simply has to be involved in the finish.
Finally we have TINDARO from the Webber yard and with R P Mclernon riding ( does like a good tussle with mentor AP ) you can be assured this will be getting both barrels and will not be going down without a fight. Himself a solid distance winner and a winner over further this has stamina in abundance and if the pace is hot you know this will still be charging on once others have cried enough.

RACE 3 : OSCAR WHISKY ( WIN NB ) - 2nd @ 1.69 ( Muddling pace , some early errors ~ better in 2nd half ~ and a sprint finish saw him done on the line by TdS )
Next up is a small and rather disappointing turnout ( 4 runner ) for this good prize of £13k which has been won the last two years by Pipe who hasnt entered any this year ( won last two with Grands Crus and Dynaste ) but this is however a very tight affair with some quality on show.
OSCAR WHISKY is the Class act here and is around 30lb better than these over hurdles so at 1.72 you are simply backing him not to fall..because no matter how you dress this up this will piss all over these with some clean jumping.
This is imo his optimum trip as 3m stretches him to his limit and can race on any ground and only usually mixes it with the very best Europe has to offer.
Taquin De Seuil is an improver and is the only credible opposition but this has a ton to find to really even get OW off the bridle and should be used for the FC.

RACE 4 : WHISPER ( EW NAP ) - 3rd @ 6.37
Now we have a hot looking 2o runner Hcap hurdle that is made easier by the fact that i have some solid Hendo info for this and that is that they are expecting a very bright if not winning run from WHISPER and this is the bet for me.
A multiple distance winner and lightly raced , this improver will only get stronger and better and could easily be a different class of animal to these in the long run and today, the word is strong for this and i will be shocked if this doesnt place at the minimum and the 8.4 looks very good indeed..Max EW for me.

RACE 5 : BALTHAZAR KING ( Win ) - 1st @ 2.42
The Glenfarlas X-Country Chase....this is a specialist race for only the hardiest of jumpers and toughest of stayers and it takes a special sort to do well in these events but in BALTHAZAR KING we have such a spirited beast , a multi CD Winner and lto winner ( his last 5 Wins have been on the course ) and with the field lookinig not good enough or badly out of sorts i see no point at all looking beyond this, yes you can try and make cases for this to get beat but really....its just not worth it although i must admith the 2.84 is a tad skinny for such a tough race but then that does represent his chances accordingly...using an implied and inverted value maker this price is actually quite generous.

RACE 6 : THREE KINGDOMS ( EW ) - 3rd @ 22.90
A 20 runner Hcap Hurdle to round the card off wow..what a way to finish the day....VIBRATO VALTAT has to go on the short list as this looks a very nice type and an improver with class but will have to step upto the plate if he is to over come some hardy hcap opposition.
EDMAAJ is very interesting for AP as this is getting upto a Stone and a half from the field and gets in super light and does carry some ok form for one with so little experience...this could be a blot.
QUICK JACK turns up for Tony Martin and has Ruby riding and is sure to be well supported , but all of these will do well to beat THREE KINGDOMS who absolutely pissed in lto , yes it was over further but it won it never coming off the bit, and was a bridle sit n steer and the drop in trip imo will be fine for the ex flat recruit ( had Won over 1m4f on Heavy for D Weld ) ...im really excited by this as i think this could be one of the best Ferguson has had go thru his hands....
