Chantilly 15:15 Prix Du Jockey Club (Group 1)

Good Afternoon all , todays preview of the French Derby comes courtesy of my man in France IDK , who himself is a Trainer/Breeder and friend to many most notably Raymond Tooth , Guy Reed and Malcom Denmark , with a wealth of Knowledge, Experience and skill and with more contacts than the CIA it always pays to listen to my French Mole ( who funnily enough used to live in a small Village in Selby called Barlby many moons ago ).
Firstly he rates KESAMPOUR very highly and expects this to get placed at the minimum , a solid stayer with distance winning form from a good draw that won its trial in good fashion with a cosy head to spare over Albion , he also likes Top Trip a wonderful looking Dubai Destination colt that has some very tidy form and is well deserved of his place in this exalted line up and finally Saint Baudolino a speedily bred Pivotal colt that has winning form over both course and distance and should be in the mix up at the end.
So there you have it albeit rather briefly your 3 against the field , good luck if your playing today.

Also on that card in the 16:00 is a very interesting match up between Aitken and Dunaden and on the rain softened ground should be a good race.

Elsewhere today we have 2 rather staid looking NH cards and a so so meeting from Nottingham where only the maidens interest me as it is often used as a good testing ground and the most interesting newcomer today has to be ALHEBAYEB a rare 2 yr old for Hannon from Owner Hamden al Maktoum costing £170,000 and being from Dark Angel is bound to have pace a plenty and with only Clean Blow to beat should easily be good enough to blow these away , and the other Maiden features a Galileo Filly that ran no race and was effectively pulled up fto , off for 3/4 of a year , this would have strengthened and grown up and i should imagine a vastly better run will be due to day this horse is DALKOVA from the mega owner that is Nigel Tinkler and trained by the maestro Hannon at 10.0 its worth an EW punt of anyones money.

Over in NH world in the first at Uttoxeter MISS EXHIBITIONIST would have surely won had she not hit the last ( going down by 4L ) a first win beckons and it could well be today 3.8 is a fair price although too short for a proper EW bet could be played as a single or an EW treble with the 2 Hannon runners.

Thats it for this damp , wet and Miserable Sunday , small trading today ( already bagged a few quid on the tennis ) then getting ready for a good ol' BH weekend mega sesh with me bestio Sledge!....tmrw, weather permitting im playing tennis against Andrew Jaques and then if hes upto it Sledge...so could be a tiring ol day , a probs a nice day off for me , charge my batts up before having some 121 with MB...a grand ol week beckons...ttfn x

**UPDATES - MISS EXHIBITIONIST - 3RD @ 4.40
                      - ALHEBAYEB                 - 1ST @ 1.50
      ** French Derby 3 v The field resulted in a 2nd , 4th and a 5th , not a bad result although the winner was a freakish 617.00 on Betfair lol...
