Friend and avid Reader Chelsea Dom is off to Doncaster on Saturday so i will do a semi lite card and hope i can steer him towards some winners and Profit ;)...
DONCASTER
RACE 1
WIN - MR DANDY MAN - 2nd @ 5.77
EW - DONNY ROVER -
LONG - N/A -
LAYBET - PETERKIN ( Looked terrible , green and ran like a dog ) - 1st @ 3.26 ( MJ...i can never get this fecker right!!! )
*This is a small field Maiden and a tricky one as the two with experience including the £95,000 Purchase Donny Rover both ran appallingly and running green is not the only answer as they appeared to be just not that good imo although Donny Rover simply has to be better than that but i feel Newcomer MR DANDY MAN who is related to several winners and is entered into a few useful sales races later on could be too good but its a leap here as in all honesty none make that much interest.

RACE 2
WIN - CHANDLERY - Stone Last
EW - HIGHLAND KNIGHT - 2nd from Last....ooOOF!
LONG - N/A -
*A £21k Listed event on Good ground over 1m and still only 6 runners....very poor showing from the trainers who all complain about prize money but then cant be fucking arsed getting runners into good races....ya fucking arseholes...Anyway..i digress , we do have some decent sorts here and its still a competitive race even if Moonstone Magic has cried off thru lack of rain....grr.....CHANDELRY from the Hannon yard missed all of last season but had Won the Vintage Stakes the season before and is still entered into the Lockinge so must have been showing something at home and could be different gravy if he is fit , ready and has retained and improved upon past experience but you are taking a leap of faith that all is well but at the current 6.4 i think you are getting the right price to play if this was 2012 then this would be 2.6 so your getting roughly three times the price it should be due to the break...thats fair and makes for a very attractive bet , of the others i think Highland Knight should run a decent race and could give Balding some compensation after Side Glance was a well beaten fav in this race last year.
********************************************************
RACE 3
WIN - EAGLE ROCK -
EW - WYBORNE -
LONG - INGLEBY SPIRIT - 1ST @ 27.10
*This is a lot tougher a 13 runner 1m4f Hcap where loads have chances but im not interested in any of the market leading fancies here and fancy a nice double figure winner to take this as a lot of the more favoured choices have a lot to prove after disappointing in the last campaign but from a chocolate box of 6 or 7 which ones do you select, what do you look for?..thats the decision ...EAGLE ROCK is high on my list as this has posted some fair efforts and will be fit from its NH season and could run a very decent race.
With this i think we should have Ingleby Spirt in our corner as the Fahey team ( they have two entered ) have the string in good shape and have been banging a good few winners in and stable form is quite important this time of year ( as well as any time of year really ) and although this is a rather speculative punt at big odds you should get a fair run and finally we will have Wyborne who has some interesting French form and this son of Halling could be a different proposition this term, all three selections are stabs at something bigger as i see no value in the favourites here and this is worth a dabble for small stakes or place dutching.
********************************************************
RACE 4
WIN - JACK DEXTER -
EW - THUNDERBALL -
LONG - SHROPSHIRE - 2ND @ 15.07
*And it doesnt get any easier now but it does get interesting as we have a juicy looking 20 runner Sprint Hcap over 6f with some class, some old hands and the perennials..JACK DEXTER @ 7.4 is well worth sticking with as he ran away with the Cammidge Trophy just 2 weeks ago and looks a class sprinter and is very consistent for one is this sphere , i really like this beast and you are gteed a full run for your money , G Lee will be on again and will have this ready to part the opposition like moses did with the sea from 1f out this will be all over hopefully....However there is a concern that he wants more juice in the ground along with Thunderball ( better speed rating than Jack Dexter ) and its something to bear in mind if taking a big punt , i will also be having a rather foolish punt on Shropshire ( i will sadly follow this off a cliff like the proverbial lemming as i have backed it every run and will continue to do so until it wins again for me )...and dont forget old timers Tax Free and Johanes in a good , competitive Sprint..good luck.
********************************************************
RACE 5
WIN - DUKE OF CLARENCE - 4TH @ 12.50
EW - MUHARRER -
LONG - CARAZAM -
*And rather sadly we have yet another unkind Hcap this time over the specialist trip of 1m2f and is another full on affair with plenty in with chances , i do think however that DUKE OF CLARENCE has plenty of scope for improvement being lightly raced and a multiple distance winner i am expecting this to run a strong race and should be involved in the finish imo along with fellow potential improver Muharrer and Carazam could be worth a punt ...tricky affair and another for the speculators ;)
********************************************************
RACE 6
WIN - LEWISHAM - 2ND @ 2.14
EW - DEEPEST BLUE -
LONG - ROBOT BOY - 1ST @ 3.48
*A maiden for the older less refined types and is made up of mostly disappointing sorts....no review for this as i am just using my current ratings for selection...
********************************************************
RACE 7
WIN - SONG OF PARKES -
EW - USE A PIN , TAKE A GUESS , PICK THE PRETTIEST SILKS...
LONG - DUTCH ALL THE ODD NUMBERS AND USE THE EVEN NUMBERS AS SAVERS -
*And to round the day off we have a rather tough looking sprint hcap and this is not what you want for the getting out stakes....i do feel that SONG OF PARKES is reasonably well in and will be winning soon and today could be that day as the rest make no appeal and are pretty much a load of shite....my advice here...get an early run to the car park, get to the pub and get on the lash as its a good night in Donny ;))
********************************************************
Have a great Day DOM, dont go over board, have fun and enjoy some Beers ;))..Good Luck....
