Saturday @ Sandown..

Afternoon All ,
                       Well the dentist trauma is over...or is it...?...one of the fillings is apparently sat right on the nerve end of a tooth and it may not take which means root canal and crown...and let me tell you...this fucker hurts and im already on my 4th packet of pain killers in less than 24 hours and they cant or wont do anything till fucking Monday....Jeez!!!....fucking toothache man it gives you so many other symptoms like earache, eye ache , nausea , dizziness...blah blah blah , this is completely cuntish ;-((....i just wanna curl up and sleep it off but i cant!!...

Regardless of all the shit...hows your week been?..mines been pretty fucking good let me tell you with a few nice touches and some decently struck bets....and im hoping we can carry this shit on thru to tmrw where we head to Sandown where we get to see some very nice types on show although in truth the 48 dec stage made the cards look a lot more impressive than the final show as we are again cursed with some small field shit.

But we will be given one or two further clues for Cheltenham as a couple of fancied festival runners are out and it may pay to get on the Ante Post market as a good win by any will see a price collapse!!..so without further ado lets Smash Sandown!!...>>>

                                                 SANDOWN.

RACE 1:
WIN - OLD GUARD - 2nd @ 5.90
EW - PAIN AU CHOCOLAT - 1st @ 2.50
LONG - N/A -

SUMMARY : We start the day off with a very tasty Juvenile Hurdle...oh no wait a minute the Early dec field of 22 has been whittled down to a pathetic 5...you spineless cunts ffs...right ..start again..We start the day with a very poorly turned out Juvenile Hurdle where the newcomer is best left alone and Lil Rockefella has it all to do on a form line through Devilment , The Saint James is bred for much further and will probably make a better chaser and maybe even a better long term prospect than most here however todays race looks a straight match between Pain Au Chocolat and OLD GUARD and its the latter im gonna take once more.
Old Guard pulled like a train lto and virtually ruled himself out of the race before pulling up but his earlier victory over 142 rated Kazerak is easily the best form on offer and a repeat of that run sees him win and any misbehaving will see Pain Au Chocalt mop up as this isnt the most fluent of jumpers and is a weak stayer but over this trip on this ground he should have enough pace to fend the others off but at the likely odds i think a punt on Old Guard is the bet here.

RESULT / NOTES :

                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 2:
WIN - BRISTOL DE MAI -
EW - GARDE LE VICTOIRE - 1st @ 5.96
LONG - N/A -
SUMMARY : Next up is a £20k race with just three runners ( the 4th runner only wins if the other three all fall ) which is a massive disappointment....however the three remaining runners all look very smart prospects indeed and there is little to split them on form or ratings.
Garde Le Victoire is a very nice sort which can and has raced over a variety of distances and will love the ground but will struggle to give weight away to two very promising types the first of which is Jollyann who is unbeaten and relatively untried and this is by some way the best caliber of opponent he has faced so i think in all honesty this will go to leading Cheltenham fancy BRISTOL DE MAI who is a strong 2nd Fav for the Triumph and is also much vaunted within the yard and is another who comes here with the strongest form also behind Karezak and he was also entered in the first race on todays card so must fancy this a good bit more or were they worried by something ?...either way i think BDM will win this and may well win it a shade comfy.
RESULT / NOTES :
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 3:
WIN - BALLYGARVEY ( EW NAP ) -
EW - FESTIVE AFFAIR -
LONG - MY BROTHER SYLVEST - 3rd @ 28.0

SUMMARY : A nice looking field for both punters and bookies is up next as we entertain a Hcap Chase  over the minimum , a field that is reasonably well packed with many having a chance or even two this should be a good race to punt in and watch.
Arkaim has little chance at the weights and has it all to do so is readily dismissed, My Brother Sylvest only has one decent run after a break and in a tight field like this will probably be found wanting at the end a nice sort just not for today , French Opera is a nice horse although prone to errors and for me is about 10lb too high in the handicap still so is left alone till back in the low 140's.
I dont like Brick Red as he seems a bit of a dog and finds little at the business end of his races and Ulck Du Lin has some form to turn around today which i feel may well be beyond him.
Greywell Boy got stuffed under these conditions in a much easier race lto so is easily dismissed which leaves FESTIVE AFFAIR who is now running with the yard back on song and will be a much stronger rival today than when previously seen and im expecting a very bold show from this today but for me the Winner will be BALLGARVEY , this won fto this season beating Ulck Du Lin by a comfortable ( in the end ) 4L with a 140 rated rival a further 5L back in 3rd and given he would have needed that run i think a run to around 144-146 is well on the cards today and that puts him a few lb clear with most and well in with the remainder , a slick jumper, smooth traveler and gutsy battling heart make this a strong betting proposition and will most likely be my HCE Nap for today to see me over the winning line ( only 3 points clear ).

RESULT / NOTES :

                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 4:
WIN - GITANE DU BERLAIS - 1st @ 6.02
EW - IRISH SAINT - 2nd @ 3.0
LONG - SPLASH OF GINGE -
SUMMARY : This is probably the stand out race for today a Grade 1 Chase worth £40k but again only 5 runners compete but thankfully they are all pretty decent so it should provide a nice race to watch at least but is it any good as a betting proposition ??...Champagne West has a jumping technique that requires a lot of luck as its sketchy at best and wanton at worst and until he can improve his jumping will always remain one to avoid in this class as he simply wont get away with the mistakes he has been making however..with a clear round is a danger to all.
Splash of Ginge is a bit of an Enigma...not without a great amount of ability this can mix it with the best but does look to lack the class to be the best so i will say that if all conditions drop right and the race falls kindly then she can win..but on a pound for pound straight fight she simply cant and at the odds is best left alone.
Grumeti....Grumeti Grumeti Grumeti..what a cunt you are...at one stage i thought this was going to be a mega star but has failed me so many times when the big occasion arises that i simply have no faith left in this beast and will always leave alone unless it gets left in a very weak small field race and this simply isnt that....shame but i have no choice..you just cant be trusted.
Irish Saint is another thats a bit of a bully and could end up having a fight with Grumeti all the way round and usually only beats Grade 2 and 3 types and nearly always fails when pitched in against classy sorts but this race is there for him to take down if he puts it all in and is the likeliest winner although that is said with little confidence.
GITANE DU BERLAIS has traveled over from Ireland and is in the care of master handler Willie Mullins  however he has a wank SR outside of Cheltenham and the festival and his chasers are the least effective of all so all the stats say..wtf?!?!...And another thing he has shown a tendency to jump left which will not help on this right handed course so could lose further ground...all the signs are bad yet this French sort has a ton of potential and could be very good indeed based on what he has shown to date....but is it worth a punt with so many negative factors ?...probably only at around the 6/1 mark in a field like this which i doubt you will get so then the answer will be a no...and we are back at the beginning again!!....
RESULT / NOTES :
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 5:
WIN - JUNCTION FOURTEEN -
EW - CADUDOFF -
LONG - EL DANCER - 2nd @ 20.60

SUMMARY : A grade 3 Hurdle next with an absolute ton in weight splitting the field and i doubt very much if Mijaar actually stays this trip proper but JUNCTION FOURTEEN does and it could pay to strike with a yard coming into form at the right time , will need a clear round and will have to be a good racing position but has the ability to win a race like this if it all clicks into place.
Cadudoff and El Dancer are also worth looking at if its a dutch your after in a very tightly packed field.

RESULT / NOTES :

                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 6:
WIN - LE REVE - 1st @ 6.71
EW - HADRIANS APPROACH -
LONG - BERTIE BORU -
SUMMARY : Ardkilly Witness finally got back to winning ways at Kempton three weeks ago but his jumping has to be a concern around here. It's a while since Cantlow showed any worthwhile form but that means he's dropped to a very fair mark and a resurgence may be imminent. LE REVE ran a very nice race behind The Young Master off this mark at Ascot last month having been pulled up in the Hennessy earlier. He likes it here so is just preferred to Hadrian's Approach, who looked as though he needed a blow-out at Cheltenham and ran accordingly. Bertie Boru was second to Unioniste here last time but is looking too high in the weights now and There's No Panic is better over further. Theatrical Star also stays longer trips and had a hard race from a lower mark in a Grade 3 at Warwick three weeks ago.
RESULT / NOTES : Placepot LANDED > 4Lines = £2 = 2 x What ever it pays and ive a feeling it could be pretty decent......???????? > £732.50 BoooooM = £1465.00 Happy Days.
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 7:
WIN - SIR VINSKI -
EW - MONBEG THEATRE - 2nd @ 4.80
LONG - AMIDON -

SUMMARY : Nicky Richards rarely ventures this far south so Ayr winner Sir Vinski is respected. She's Late, Amidon, Lewis and Aigle De La See have all been knocking on the door and should be thereabouts. The latter's trainer also runs Brigadier Miller but the grey took a backward step last time at Exeter. MONBEG THEATRE is a real staying type and may be ready for this step up in grade having ground out convincing victories at Southwell and Towcester in the autumn. He might just out-last After Eight Sivola, though Nick Williams' charge appreciated the step up in distance at Taunton last time and Lizzie Kelly has already been seen to good effect for the yard this winter. Grove Silver may be the pick of the remainder.

Thursday @ Meydan

Hi Boys n Girls ,
                         Not much happening today as the snow has taken a grip and what racing we do have is very poor so its another Thursday at Meydan for me and i will cast a cursory glance over the cards to see if we have anything worth getting involved with.
A lot of the UK AW specialists are over here having picked up some nice looking rides but the form is dreadfully hard to work and with a mix of nonsensical , irrelevant and woeful form lines and ratings there is much guessing going on however you can give yourself a chance if you cut a lot of wheat from the chaff.

Opening up we see what looks to be a rather spirited and competitive race with not a lot to choose between them however after a break of 180+ days i will give another chance to the former useful ARTIGIANO who is officially rated 110 which puts him some way clear yet has been rather disappointing since his juvenile days where he twice ran the classy Olympic Glory very close and even after that was only narrowly touched off in some decent races in fact although he never got really competitive in the Royal Hunt Cup ( 7th ) he was still only beaten 5L or so so much can be taken from these and at around 6/1 is a good solid sporting bet in a wide open event , if he can roll back the years then he will win but in truth..who really knows...??...pays yer money n takes yer chance. - 3rd @ 9/2

A terrific looking sprint race is next up and i like the look of last years runner up AHTOUG who will strip fitter now and could have the edge on a few of these but this is another very tight race with Medicean Man , Fityaan and Speed Hawk making this ultra competitive. - 1st @ 5/1

The next race offers little for me and a speculative token selection would be ALAREEF who like many from De Kock needed its first run and will be much straighter this time. - Unplaced ( Nice winner for R Hughes )

Another odd looking race but i will have an EW on WEE JEAN as its one of those i will follow off a cliff lol...until it Wins again then stop. - Unplaced ..Again lol....

and again....its another hard to call race but ANOTHER PARTY from the Jamie Osborne yard is worth a few quid as its lto form has been working out well and this could run a decent race although the 5/1 is a bit tight for my liking but a small EW investment or to have it doubled up could reap rewards. - Unplaced

Much better race this time and this looks a straight fight out between TRUE STORY and VERCINGETORIX , now True Story has had a run and is on the upgrade still and like the other is a CD winner and will prove very hard to beat however Verci' has some rock solid form not only round here but around the world and if fit could be a few pounds superior , this has run well fresh so that shouldnt be a problem , loves the trip n the surface and is imo the most likely winner but it will be interesting none the less and at around 2/1 & 3/1 there is just enough Juice to make this the days NAP and PRO bet..( the dutch that is ). 1st @ 6/4 ( and 2nd )

Full Result

1st (2)Vercingetorix (SAF)M F De Kock69-0C Soumillon6/4
2nd (7)2True StorySaeed bin Suroor48-13 pJames Doyle11/10f

In the finale i will be on SCIGHERA because its Crowley in the finale ( old habit ) and HAAFAGUINEA who has shown a liking for the surface and this course and @ 9/1 & 16/1 ++ is worth a few quid to round the day off.

Some fun and some EW doubles n Trebles will be on the card today as i place and walk away as i now have to go and prep myself in a Dali Lama way as im now off to the Dentist to have 4 fillings done, a scrape , Root Canal and a motherfucking crown fitted...oh my..what an arse of a day lol...i hate the dentist...im crying inside already......;-(((...

Wont be soooo bad if this is my dentist tho ;-))..ttfn.

Today's NAP

FASCINO RUSTICO :

This has far superior racing time figures , jumps better and travels easier and likes to race just off the pace or behind the pace setters which will be nice as Zip Top likes to make all , a better stayer and an all round more polished performer with around 12lb in hand against Zip Top i will be surprised if Zip Top wins and if this doesn't and the 2.20 for a horse i rate as odds on is Value in my corner , Max Bet.

RESULT : 1st @ 2.40 ( Easy and a cracking price ).

My New Golf Clubs ;-))

Woop Woop ...Well after a good week on the punt i thought " fuck it "..treat yer sen..so i did and ive gone n bought me sen the new clubs ive been promising myself for a while now and i cant wait to get my grubby little paws on them ;-)...ive gone for the Cobra Baffler XL Hybrid set with Graphite Shafts and Reg Flex

I have man handled these before and they incredible both off mats and turf, low friction , high launch and even a poorly swung shot veers little off your chosen line and im hoping these babies can get me down to 18 Finally ;-))...my Hcap is officially 24.3 but my " general play " is around 18 sometimes as low as 16 and very often at 20 so i know i can get there , played yesterday at Boothferry and hit 19 Points on a very good front nine and was well ahead in the Stableford / Matchplay comp that i relaxed and limped through the back nine which was of no use but still won the stableford by 9 clear points and won my Matchplay by an incredible 8 & 6 ;-)...so i know i have game i just need to be more consistent!!...

So heres " Fingers Crossed " to an uplifting and strong golf averaging 2015...;-))

13:45 @ Ludlow

Morning Race Fans ,
                                Its a dull morning and there isn't much to whet ones appetite today however we did see a very impressive run from the Arkle Fav yesterday ( Read the Cheltenham Ante Post n Notes Tab ) which is making my Cheltenham Double look nailed on....

We have just the one race and one bet from me today and its as you would expect by now in the opening JUVENILE HURDLE at Ludlow , you should know by now that these are a specialty of mine and they are races i do like to punt on and this looks a pretty decent event in truth however i would be very shocked if the winner didn't come from the trio of Arabian Revolution , Sebastian Beach and Cape Caster.

1. CAPE CASTER : This was a decent performer on the level reaching a rating high of 87 and winning twice over middle distances this former Ralph Beckett inmate is bred for speed being by Cape Cross but had no trouble at all hacking up almost 5L from Eddiemaurice fto with the 3rd another 13L back, Led on the bit 2 out , hit the last and still pretty much cantered home only having to be gently pushed out to win this could be a very nice sort for a yard i am really starting to like in Evan Williams , with some good money already laid down at 4.0 the current 3.44 seems short enough but it is still the right side of being backable and this will be in the mix from the outset and will def place.

2.SEBASTIAN BEACH : This was also another consistent flat sort getting a rating of 84 and also had a couple of nice Flat wins over middle distances although did seem to prefer a firmer surface so im not to sure yet how really soft ground will be suited although it ran 2nd fto on softer going.
This was beaten a comfortable 9L fto by the decent Souriyan however he did have the Pipe inmate Skylander ( 13/8f ) a further 17L back in third making the form look solid enough and with the JJ yard now back in some form and starting to rattle in a few winners this has to be given every chance although being by Yeats it wouldn't be a surprise to find that this would be better with an extra 4f in front of him and is probably the weakest  ( for this race ) of the three.

3. ARABIAN REVOLUTION : This was also rated 87 on the flat in a short career that saw him destroy his field in his maiden before hurtling backwards so fast its a surprise he didnt actually go back in time...he declined so quick and was so awful after that fine run that i think this was his only option ....That said his opening run was excellent beating another Pipe inmate Rathealy ( 9/4f ) by 8L but in truth it could have been 28L as he was very hard held and was on the bit the whole way and never did anything more than an exercise canter...this was a very easy win and " if " he can build on that and not regress like he did on the flat i think this will be very hard to beat and could conceivably be a grade or two higher than most ( Cape Caster looks very good ) and must surely be in the mix but a bit of trust will be required that he is in the same frame of mind and mood to compete.

SUMMARY : The ONLY bet for me is a DUTCH on CAPE CASTER & ARABIAN REVOLUTION as both look different class and Sebastian probably needs further and with the current prices being 3.0 / 3.35 i think there is just enough juice in that to call it a very strong bet.

RESULT : BELTOR Wins @ 16/1 and a Loss for me ;-( , Arabian Revolution ran ok hit 1.33 as it led over the last however it got completely outstayed on the flat and was shown up for the unreliable type that it is may win more races but they will have to be easy pickings as this g4 at best , CAPE CASTER never settled, never travelled and it has to be said was a major disappointment ;(...never in racing mode and is worth another try but this was a very poor show , Bellator the winner was a former flat type trained by Sir Mark Prescott and is a useful sort in the making having showed a good attitude and picked up nicely off a decent enough pace.....theres always tmrw ;)

Saturday at Cheltenham...will there be clues ??...

Evening boys n girls ,
                                Well its a been a long week but another productive and profitable one thankfully and Thanks to HCE Jason Coote the Maestro of the Maiden  as his Pro Tip service smashed another winner ( 3.45 ) to pieces and yet again smashed the bookie with his spot on analysis well done pal and thank you ;-).

Well now its back to business and this weekends business at hand is Cheltenham and the further foraging of clues re: the festival as some of the more fancied types try to secure their spot , enhance their reputation and/or get one last run as its only around 40 days away and time is of the essence for some and we have a good looking sort or two on show this Saturday to give us cause to wheeze or whine.

Firstly Yesterday whilst updating my Cheltenham tab i noticed a very good looking " special " on offer this was 8/1 for Peace n Co to Win on Saturday AND at Cheltenham which is odd as its a case of " Free Money " because Peace n Co is currently 1.61 tmrw and 3.50 for its Cheltenham main target so i can  ( for example ) Back Peace n Co for £100 in the " Double " @ 8/1 and Lay Both races right now and i still make at least £100 profit regardless as the double only pays around 9/2 this seems rather crazy but is totally legit..so go to Oddschecker check the specials for Peace n Co n lump on i say..you simply cant lose....although some of these funds may be tied up for a couple of weeks.

As to the remainder of the card...well Cheltenham is always a rather interesting card open or not so lets crack on and see if we can smash it to pieces and if i have time i may curse a glance over Donny....

                                             CHELTENHAM
RACE 1:

WIN - PEACE N CO ( NAP ) - 1st @ 1.48
EW - N/A
LONG - N/A

SUMMARY : Today we start off with a Juvenile Hurdle which usually gets my pockets very excited as they expect to be fed large wads of cash as this is my hot area , my specialty , my Niche a place i come to hoover up as much cash as i can so i can then afford to spunk it off elsewhere however this is a seriously tough race for me as a horse i have been told is " the Dogs Bollocks " PEACE N CO is running and i did smash it fto when it hosed up @ 10/11 and i have this in my " double Special " but do i lump the single as i personally think its a nailed on dyed in the wool certainty??!!??...Firstly my " Pro " head says no because it just hasnt done enough to justify its price which in all honesty ( 1.53 ) is right at the bottom end of where it should be ( Even money and i would have smashed in or even 4/5 ) however i gave it a provisional rating of 152 for its last run where it slammed 130 rated rivals by 19L and 32L respectively but this is a different race altogether as these rivals are far far superior in every way and for him to not only justify the " p " on its rating and its place at the Festival it will have to win this....in any way it can as this wont need to be flash he will just need to get in front , Bivouac is rated 147 but has beaten little and surely BG ( Jockey ) will know what is what blah blah so it must be safe to say that Hendo just wants an angle on Bivouac and where to send him after hes been mullered here , Karezak is rated 142 but has been found wanting against the best so one has to assume that even an improved run will not suffice as the Bristol De Mei form has been knocked about and Ibis Du Rheu is not ranked that high by IDK so i think that can be discounted although may be a decent long term sort.
Zarib is another nice looking type and has a stamina laden pedigree but only beat a 111 rated rival 10L last time seen and this form if taken as a direct line gives this around 24lb to find before it can even think of challenging for a place so is easily left aside and Storm Force Ten has no chance what so ever which means all roads lead back to Peace N Co with only Karezak as a live danger....if i can get 1.86 or higher i lump on if not i will leave it even though i feel it will win....either way its a win/win race for me.

RESULT / NOTES : Strange race as they went rather slow early on but he stalked , sprinted and then lengthened when asked...not a great race but he beat this lot very comfortably and is a 150p horse proper.
                                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 2:
WIN - IRISH CAVALIER - 3rd @ 20.0
EW - NED STARK -
LONG - HORATIO HORNBLOWER -
SUMMARY : Race 2 is a tricky looking Handicap chase and its not one for punting in big time.
Its a £20k race with almost 2 stone separating top from bottom...sigh...fucking sigh....WHAT i will say is this...in the last 5 years NO Fav has even placed and each fav have performed really poor here so i will say that Stellar Notion is a Max LAY and wipe your chin if the stats are rebuked.
As for the winner well i like IRISH CAVALIER , NED STARK and HORATIO HORNBLOWER with a slight preference for the former as i feel that it needed its first couple of runs thus far and will be cherry ripe here and the pull in the weights with Black River will be sufficient to reverse that form but its a tough race and not one im very keen on.
RESULT / NOTES : Fav was AGAIN UNPLACED ;-))
                                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 3:

WIN - SMAD PLACE - 2nd @ 3.94
EW - DYNASTE - 3rd >
LONG - MANY CLOUDS - 1st @ 5.72

SUMMARY : Next up is a £90k Chase and although its a small field it looks a cracker with many of these holding literal or lateral form lines.
Grands Cru , Time for Rupert , Rocky Creek and Punchestowns have all had their respective arses handed to them on a plate in recent years in what can only be described as a grave yard for favourites so it is with much trepidation that i nominate Dynaste as a LAY  @ 3.25 , yes he is the Class act here by some way and easily imo has the best form on offer with a Win in the Ryanair and a 2nd to Silvi' Conti to count among his many great runs but he has to race over a trip less than ideal ( will stretch his stamina to its fullest ) on ground that will be plenty soft enough and against some very useful up n coming chasers , Many Clouds is one of these chasers on the up and confirmed his arrival on the group scene with a taking victory when winning the Hennessy however SMAD PLACE has a 12lb pull in the weights and must have every chance today of reversing that form and has to be backed even at a skinny looking 4.40 as it simply wont have a better chance to show its class , this has some exceptional losing hurdle form and some not too shabby Chase form which includes a good 2nd in the RSA last year this smart travelling smooth jumping type has a cracking chance today.Last years winner The Giant Bolster , Black Thunder and Theater Guide all add spectacle to a race that looks like being a fizzer.

RESULT / NOTES :
                                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 4:
WIN - ANNACOTTY - ( HCE NAP ) - 1st @ 6.0
EW - QUINCY DES PICTONS
LONG - DARE ME -
SUMMARY : Next up its another Handicap Chase and agin its an impossible to be confident about field with so many having form chances or being weighted into it.
ANNACOTTY  ( HCE NAP )must have a cracking chance to shine today having won on this card last year in the Novice event and is a Grade 1 winner without a penalty and has all conditions to suit and coming from a yard that knows how to ready one for a coup i would suspect that this £50k is " his Cheltenham " and he will be all out to take this down and the 7.4 looks a decent price.
Wallkon is thrown in on his best form and is due a win but " being due " is only relevant if your pregnant but im sure Richard Hurd will argue this after his winning loyalty bet on Officer in Command last night....Dare Me can run well after a lay off and Quincy des Pictons can pay his way but may have to lower his sights after getting lumped with a 13lb rise after a facile win lto.
RESULT / NOTES :
                                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 5:

WIN - VALUE AT RISK - ( NB ) - 2nd @ 2.20
EW - ROBINSFIRTH -
LONG - VAGO COLLENGES - 3rd @ 9.93

SUMMARY : Time for some more graded action as we have a Group 2 Hurdle ( formerly known as the Classic Novices Hurdle ) and it looks a decent enough affair , VALUE AT RISK is a short price at 2.56 for he has achieved but he thrashed former winners by an eye watering 20L lto without coming off the bridle and this very smart bumper could be very special indeed and i will take this bet even though i think its poor value..its one of those in which i feel i have the implied value.
Elsewhere well you can shove a pin where ya like coz its all relative as they are all within a few lbs of each other....Value at Risk is the ONLY one that looks like a potential superstar.

RESULT / NOTES :
                                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 6:
WIN - UN TEMPS POUR TOUT - 3rd
EW - SAPHIR DU RHEU - 1st @ 4.36
LONG - COLE HARDEN -
SUMMARY : The £60k CLEEVE HURDLE is next on the agenda as we look to further add to our coffers and we have to take a leap of faith in this because " IF " UN TEMPS POUR TOUT  can stay this trip then he can hang them out with the washing as he annihilated Cole Harden previously and on lit/lat form lines the whole field have something to find and im thinking that he could have around 12lb in hand on racing form although the higher officially rated Saphir Du Rheu could prove troublesome now back over hurdles and last years enigmatic winner Reve Di Sivola who can win anytime he likes but rarely does with the other two having no chance i think this is another really likable bet @ 3.90.
RESULT / NOTES : Great Race n a cracking finish with the top 3 separated by just 1/2L.
                                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 7:

WIN - KIAMA BAY - ( EW NAP ) -
EW - LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT - 1st @ 5.14
LONG - BEAU LAKE - Non Runner -

SUMMARY : Lightentertainment has been cleverly placed to win four of his last five. He was just beaten in the other and is worth a stab at this higher level but other recent winners Minstrels Gallery and Beau Lake have more on their plate today. KIAMA BAY has been a revelation this winter for Jim Best. He had the proverbial ton in hand when beating Minstrels Gallery on identical terms at Fakenham in October and would have skated up in a Listed race at Haydock the following month had he not fallen at the last. He was just outbattled by Aso in a Grade 2 back at Haydock last week but compensation awaits here. Dell' Arca may be the pick of the remainder as the going is likely to be too soft for Royal Irish Hussar and Diamond King and Landscape lack a recent run.

Snowy & Wet Wednesday....

Morning folks ,
                        Its a drab ol day out there today but the racing has by n large held firm although we are treated to numerous small non de plus fields with racing excitement at the minimum so those punting today are both needy n greedy however take the punt away and there are some good looking money making opportunities with both SL n PPL so think hard , look close and you can make a profit today.

STREETS OF PROMISE ( Fell 2 out whilst cantering up front and trading at 1.57 looking to be the easy winner imo ...shame but thats racing) in the 1315 Ayr is probably one of my strongest " Win " bets today as this has form of shitty bog like ground and should stay this extra distance as she has already Won over 3m on the p-t-p circuit and has some speed as shown when winning her NHF race so comes here with easily the best form , likes the ground conditions and trip and against a very moderate field should easily be upto taking this down and i think the 2.30 is a good price because in truth i had this down as an odds on chance so to get this is imo a gift in fact its almost a bet to nothing.

VIOLET DANCER  ( Hahaha Easily beaten @ 1/5F ) looks a standing dish at Lingfield as it has a 30lb superior rating over hurdles than its closer rival and ran a close 2nd lto on the flat this is nailed on but @ 1.30 offers little although its a quick cash lift for the day for those of you that dont like shitty odds on Jollies ( Glad i left this fucking beast alone lol ) then GOLLY MISS MOLLY ( 2nd @ 4.64 after trading at 1.30 and looking a nice winner ) should Win for no other reason than i have recently had this name in my mind for a few days as its from a song ive been listening to and that is as good a reason as any ;-)))....CHINA CLUB ( This is a bigger hound than Hooch ) should be upto shedding its maiden tag at long last over its better trip although in truth he isnt one to trust too much as its starting to look tripless and Ershaad ( 1st @ 8/11 ) could improve enough to reel him in.
ANGLOPHILE looks good to be a contender for LOTD @ 3.0 ( 1stas i this looks a non stayer and only just gets home over 1m4f and this extra 3f will push him to the limit and with such an open field is well worth taking on.
Talking Lays i think Bertie Blue Boy will struggle to reverse recent CD form and is another at around 3.0 worth taking on......

AP ( did win on Local Hero @ 5.0 for Gollings ) very rarely rides anything for John Wade so the booking for RUNSWICK DAYS ( Unplaced ) must be noted as significant and the same comment can apply to TIPTOESAWAY as this has dropped to a very low weight and will be winning soon and based on its last run this day isnt far away....
Finaly HAA Bannister has just the one ride today and its in the finale on Think ...its the 40/1 outsider...but ya never know lol..

Saturday @ Ascot

Afternoon ( or whenever ) Folks n Fuckers ,
                                                                          Yes the poor weather has been arriving in dribs n drabs but thankfully the worst of it seems to have missed Ascot with only Haydock requiring a Morning Inspection so we should be fine in fact the ground is reportedly holding quite well and should be firm enough to allow the imperious Sprinter Sacre to make its well touted and long awaited return after pulling up lto with a slight heart murmur , this will not be a strong betting heat as like many we just want to see him return in one piece safe n sound and a nice long striding victory will be a bonus and i feel if back to full fitness and strength then this has at least 3 more solid seasons in front of him...time will tell and all we can do is fingers crossed.

Gotta say tho the air has a right ol bite to it today as im sat upstairs in my office ( windows is open as im smoking ) and the chill is strong with this Jedi......right i have no rant as such today but will just say Je Suis Charlie...i often take the piss out of the French but with the Paris massacre we should ALL stand strong as brothers , shoulder to shoulder and defeat the extremist murderers they are not soldiers fighting a war they are stone cold Murdering bastards  full stop killing innocents in such a cowardly fashion ..well there are no words to describe them they need lynching every single one of them , that is the extremists not all Muslims as not all are evil and hell bent on killing all the " infidels " but the extremists need taking out now.....if it was me i would go into the middle east give notice and assist the innocents and let the likes of isis have their lands....let it cool down for a few weeks to let them all go and congratulate themselves and i would then just carpet bomb the whole fucking territory and if any of the cunts survived then i would follow it up with a nuke..chow fuckers and adios!!....this is all fantasy of course as nothing like that will happen whilst there is money to be made as human life is nothing compared to the mighty dollar!!....

Well that is enough of that shizzle...lets crack on with the ASCOT CARD and lets see if we nail a few winners and make some money.

                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                                           ASCOT
RACE 1:
WIN - TOP NOTCH - 1st @ 1.32
EW - N/A
LONG - N/A
SUMMARY - We start the day off as i like with a Juvenile Hurdle but as has been the rant for weeks now its another very poor turn out with just the 4 runners but there is a modicum of interest in this as Golden Doyen lines up and after getting mauled by the very smart looking Bristol de Mai last time out  ( beaten 24L ) it will provide a much better guide to how good that is as Golden Doyen faces another very strong Cheltenham bound candidate in TOP NOTCH and its this i expect to canter home after not being allowed to run in today's big race due to past Victories in France this consolation prize will be absolutely hoovered up and i will be earthquake shocked if this loses...it is the nearest thing to a nailed on certainty this side of Frankel.
RESULT :
                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 2:
WIN - KINGS LAD - 1st @ 3.70
EW - VIVACCIO -
LONG - N/A

SUMMARY - Next up its another small field for this Hcap Chase and this is a race that doesnt enthuse me at all , tight across along all lines and with race conditions met any of these can win which makes it a good race for both Stat Laying and PPL.
KINGS LAD looks the likeliest winner after a facile win lto and the shorter trip is not an issue an improving sort and a solid jumper he will be there all the way and the most likely to give his true running.
Vivaccio is looking to get his reputation restored after an uncharacteristic fall lto when going well and will give the selection the most to do as two of the remaining three have big lay offs to overcome and cant be followed in such a tight heat until they have shown their worth and Trafic Fluide is probably flattered by his last run and i find it doubtful he will be good enough to seriously trouble these.

RESULT :

                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 3:
WIN - CAROLES SPIRIT - 2nd @ 3.85
EW - JENNYS SURPRISE -
LONG - FAIRYTALE THEATER -
SUMMARY - A decent field size for a decent race finally!!..this is a Grade 2 Hurdle ( Registered as the Warfield Mares Race ) and there are some nice types out here today in an open looking event.
Dark Spirit is much improved this term and ran a sound race lto but has to prove she stays this longer trip after only running on lto and not staying on the same sentiments can be aimed at Mischievous Milly as this was just a tad behind in the same race but could run well if staying.
Bitofapuzzle is still a Bitofanenigma as this much touted and hyped sort has been getting reviews not worthy of her performance imo and still has a ton of improving to do and on official ratings she has to find at least 16lb and for me is best left alone and if she wins just shrug, say nice horse and move on....
Caroles Spirit only defeat last term was in this race when well held by Highland Retreat and as likely fav and a reasonably short price this is worth swerving even if i think its probably the winner.
Fairytale Theater is a flat track bully and will struggle to get into these like she does in Class 4's and is best left alone unless the ground suddenly turns into a bog.
JENNYS SURPRISE is one i like , yes it has to find a ton on official ratings but gets a non descript 5lb from the top rated and the assistance of Paddy Brennan in the saddle and lets not forget its unbeaten this term after being upped in trip and although a small field win lto was the ticket in she won that doing handstands with an official winning distance of eased down 3L this could easily have been 30L such was the dominance and i think this is good for at least 20lb or more in future Hcaps which puts her in with a squeak and possibly more as she is so unexposed she could improve massively and with a likely starting price of around 14/1 is well worth an EW punt.
RESULT :
                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 4:
WIN - GARDE LE VICTOIRE -
EW - ABRACADABRA SIVOLA -
LONG - WILLEM -

SUMMARY - Next up is another nice looking Graded Hurdle race this time over 2m3f and this one has over 14lb difference in weight from top to bottom which brings them all into play.
This is a race full of " Potential Horses " with so many looking to build upon light experience and promise however Garde Le Victoire has done it all Haviing raced Bayan to within 7L in the Ladbroke with the likes of Shelford only smidges in front and a prior win in the Greatwood beating the likes of Vaniteaux and Pine Creek comfortably being the best form on offer by a country mile i think the top weight will not be an issue and its only the big weight being carried that is allowing you to get around 4/1 on a horse that on form alone should be no more than 6/4...the 4/1 is a bloody good price and rather generous imo however my money will be going EW on ABRACADABRA SIVOLA who arrived from France with a very tall reputation and IDK said this could be a future Champion only to do little more than fuck all on his first season although he did round the season off with a solid win when beating the excellent and 140+ rated Aurore D'Estruval quite convincingly and that puts the gelding right into the mix and although i would have preferred 10+ i will take some of the 8/1 and hope to get the remainder of my EW stake matched better on Betfair ( currently 10.0 ).

RESULT : Gar fucking bidge...;((..

                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RACE 5:
WIN - SPRINTER SACRE - 2nd @ 1.77
EW - DODGING BULLETS - 1st @ 5.48
LONG - N/A
SUMMARY - The days big race the Sodex CLARENCE HOUSE a race won in recent years by the likes of  Sire de Grugy as this is a nice scalp to take down en route to Cheltenham with the winner getting over £70k.
ALL EYES will be on SPRINTER SACRE and for me if back to his best is simply the best horse anywhere in the world at around 2m-2m4f...but after a lack lustre lto run in which he was pulled up and found to have a heart defect a lot of trust must be held with the trainer if punting and for me personally i will say that i think it will win and win easy or completely fail and may even be pulled up if not travelling or looking like the winner so a win bet and place lay as cover is the option you have but i so so so want this to win and win easy...please be back ( the news is that he is 100% so fingers crossed ).
Both Somersby and Twinlight are very decent performers on their day however it should be Dodging Bullets that wins if anything is amiss with SS as he easily accounted for Somersby lto and pretty much always runs true to form.
RACE 6:
WIN - NICEONEFRANKIE -
EW - MISTER GREZ -
LONG - KING EDMUND -
SUMMARY - Numero Six and its a 12 runner Hcap Chase which is enough to get me running for the hills!!..and this looks a very strong race so only pocket change and speculation will be available on this.
I love Tom Cannon and Chris Gordon but King Edmund is getting on a bit now and he would really have to roll back the years to win this so regrettably is left out of this equation , NICEONEFRANKIE has now had two runs at Ascot over CD and has won them both and the 7lb  rise for an easy win at Cheltenham will not deter another dash for the line , loves the trip, ground and course and the stable are in decent fettle and i fancy a pillar to post Victory and i will make this my HCE and Blog NAP for the day.
WIN - OUT SAM ( Pro Bet )  - 1st @ 1.51
EW -  N/A
LONG - N/A
SUMMARY - A Small field Novice Hurdle to round the day off but we have our " Pro Bet " in this and that is OUT SAM and this is a standout bet and will be doubled with Top Notch and smashed if that fails as this is an absolute certainty imvho...the three runners it beat fto have all Won since with the third that day Tea for Three recently turning the Lanzarote into a procession and now looks proper Grade 1 material and that form is just in a different league on a different planet to anything else on show and i will walk to USK naked if this loses ( bar a fall as that cant be factored in )....Smash This for all your worth.
Morning me lovelies ;-) ,
                                    Yes its Sunday morning and its a rare Sunday blog from me but i thought as we are off to Essex today to see whats happening at the inaugural Chelmsford meeting that it is only right i cast a disparaging glance over proceedings....
Won well over this trip at Wolvo lto and the claim for Garrity makes it quite an attractive proposition at around 5/1 as Tryster ( Fav ) could be anything...another Godolphin hotpot that will murder these and run up a wee sequence through the winter or will be stuffed as its just a very average sort trying its luck , its rating is at the right end and with improvement could easily be a 100+ runner but for today i will stick with Docs Legacy and its proven form and ability.
This is tough to call as Pin Up arrives with the better overall form and should stay but all bar the Elsworth runner should improve significantly and its a total guess as to how good some of these are and this isnt a heat to be betting in ( Love how the bookies make Gosdens a 1.59 chance and the field bar Pin Up have been written off....its a lot lot closer than that trust me ).
**Yes the Fav Won but it was closer as i said than the result could even suggest , as the Fav hit 7.20 in the run and two other horses also hit 1.54 and 1.22 in the run....Very tight and it only just got up.
This is a very trappy affair and is another that is most unfriendly to the punter and in truth it may pay to just dutch a couple of the rags as it would come as no shock if a decent double figure winner appeared however for me the winner on merit should be Exceedingly that has some decent form locked away , likes the trip and has some nice speed figures but its a sprint on an untested venue where most have a chance of sorts ..this is almost impossible to decide keep the bullets to a minimum.
Another strong looking sprint and another that is wide open and bookie friendly and this is only a speculative selection , Appleby is fast becoming a wily ol fox and he does well in all spheres but is not averse to sending out a few AW winners and this nice sort is super consistent and is more than capable of making its presence felt its lto run can be forgotten as it had a hampered start and never got into the race but had won 3 of its previous 4 although the price at 4.8 is right on the margin and i wouldnt go a sheckle less.
Race 5 : TEMPUS TEMPORIS - 1st @ 4.04...BooooooM
This hosed up lto by an ever widening 6L and now he has found out what is required i can see this turning out to be quite a useful sort a big strong son of Dynaformer that loves the surface and can truly race upon it i think it will take a very smart performance to see this beaten today ( NAP ).
