A rather bleary eyed GOOD MORNING...

Went out last night for a ruby and a few sherbets and OMFG i am such a fucking lightweight these days!! , felt pissed after just two ( glorious pints of Kingfisher ) Drinks WTF?!?!, then ate so fucking much i could barely move after which somewhat curtailed my evening...the greedy bastard i am ;-@ , however it was quite lush and i enjoyed it immensely ;-).
So after a somewhat broken nights sleep ( woken up at 1am , couldnt get back to sleepsville till about 4am ) i arrive here rather bleary eyed and still feeling full!.
However we do have some rather tantalising racing today with a good looking card from the start of the " open " meeting  @ Cheltenham supported by Lingfield and Newcastle ( or is that changing to sports direct arena also ? ).....

Before i move onto the cards and bets i would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you to all of our servicemen , young n old , dead and alive , your efforts and your willingness to fight for freedom and your country have made us who we are , the wars were brutal , the opposition was a nightmarish round of bullets , men and machinery in conditions that were at best treacherous and without fatigues or kit to comply , the brutal horrors of war can only ever be truly be replayed by those involved, visually we can see the deep pain of war what we dont see is the deeper scars of the mental wars , the images and scenarios the mind cant erase.

An elderly British gentleman of 83 arrived in Paris by plane. At the French customs desk he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry-on bag. 'You have been to France before, Monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically.
The elderly gentleman admitted he had been to France previously.
'Then you should know enough to 'ave your passport ready,' the customs officer said. The elde......rly gentleman replied, 'The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it.'

'Impossible! The British always have to show their passports on arrival in France !'
The Man gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained;
'Well, when I came ashore on the Beach on D-Day in 1944, I couldn't find any fucking Frenchmen to show it to...!!

Wear your Poppy with Pride!!"

We must never take for granted just how important it was that as a nation , for a brief moment in time , the whole country stood together as one and fought for our lives, and how horrific both world wars were.
Hollywood has done its best to glamorise war and make it look fun , but it wasn't , to all men and woman currently serving in conflicts that protect the rights of others i salute you , to the servicemen of years gone by i thank you , to the politicians who continually fuck our forces over , you are a disgrace .

Todays Feature card will be........CHELTENHAM ;-)
* Please not tho that my rating system for the NH is still in its early stages of development and cannot factor in absences from the track unless its more than two years and the weight has changed, so all rating are actually based as tho they ran within the last month , so their fitness and age ( wear and tear or natural improvement are being taken on trust , this will flatten out in around 5-6 weeks time ) will be on trust , good luck.

****************************INFO*********************************
Having just got off the phone to Nicky Henderson ( jnr ) i have garnered the following INF for there horses at Cheltenham today :

13:10 BAI ZHU - Not expected to stay , certainly not expecting a win , will be using this a trial/prep for further engagements. - UNPLACED as expected and as advised.

13:45 : TANKS FOR THAT - Is bouncing at home , is fit and in very good order , a big run is expected , a win is thought very possible. - 1st @ 7.95 - Won as advised it had a corking chance.

14:55 : ERICHT- Has come on very well thru the summer has been schooling like a 10yr old , jumps very quickly and very low , if he jumps as well as he has been at home, he will take all the beating  , however , this is a big jump in opposition , class and live fences....- 3rd @ 4.40 - Ran very solid race and is def one for the future.

15:30 : KELLS BELLE - They are expecting a big run from this and think young Mr Bass can lead them all a merry dance , has some very sharp form and is certainly a match for anything else running here.

Of the 4 we mainly discussed it was said that todays best bet ( nap/max ) would be a max EW on KELLS BELLE - 3rd @ 14.0 ( 3.89 ) - Got outpaced early doors , then ran on really well going down a hd and 2 1/1 lengths, good race, good result.

**Good Luck all, enjoy the racing.

  2. Well said mate! Being ex-military I appreciate more than most the lives that have been given for this country only for politicians to screw us at every opportunity! Gl on the horses both :)
