Lay bets are selected using the same software but slightly tweaked , some may be 1.76 , some maybe 20.0 , all it tries to select is a horse that is figured that has the least chance of winning , the one spanner in the works for this is , one of the biggest factors in determining a horses lay value is its price and this change dramatically during he day , and the ground , so the variables do make it rather interesting ( and expensive at times ).
The BETA backs are being trialled using a slightly different system , this is a value based program is designed for the value and ew seekers , this tries to find value , horses that could run well , could return to form or that are a viable challenge for any fav , there is so much info and data that goes into everything and some things cant be computed , thats where the human element comes in ( me ) , i watch just about every race in uk and ireland , i examine the race and take what i can from it , inc all the bumps , checks and challenges...then i apply my thoughts to the selections given and make a final decision on which way to go , i have on occasion over ridden the program and i have switched horses out , this has mainly been great although i did the other day miss out on a 120.00 bfsp winner due to me switching!! , so its swings and roundabouts....for me i would like less swing and more roundabout...lets see how we do today......***

ReplyDeleteRidic start , again, where did that come from??...sigh , i actually layed at a lower price than that! , but for fairness on the blog i have to round up to nearest point , i also use betdaq for liquidity , any followers should use there own judgement based on market prices at time of placing bet , if i really wanted to manipulate my status , surely i would at least do it to break even or show a profit every time? , i try to show to as near as possible the action that is and has taken place....there are also a few factors which i have left out , ie: horses of a certain price being left with a no trade till in running or price match cap limit met....i only have enough time to mention some of the mechanics not all..if people really wanted to know in regards trading any particular race then they should ask...
ReplyDeletedressed in lace , like a few others of late was a freak result , i will not change the way i do things , i decided today to mention the trades as i trade just about every race , i cannot include every detail of every trade as so much happens just before the off , or in running , plus the percentages involved , as i have stated before its impossible to win every race , the key is making a long term profit , yes the dutches were crazy , however trading per se is not , its the best value laying there is , win or lose , get the right races with the right prices and its a gteed winner, i try to show on a big basis what happens and what can happen , but this is now becoming a pain so i will now alter this....
ReplyDeleteNO COMMENT ON ALL THE GREAT WINNERS THAT BETA BACKS has been selecting?? , the great roi or profit ? , the fact that again i had over 20 races selected and i only got hit with that sticky one in the first and a shorty in the last?? , no mention of the fact that again i had two walkthru's today , nor how many 1st/2nd combo's have been hit?? , ....just fucking nit picking....jeez!!
