  1. Hi Clint,

You made me smile reading your blog this morning because I know from my blogging endeavours it is never easy to get people to comment and add a little life to the daily grind.

I'm interested in seeing how the tipping competition goes. Certainly a nice sum for the winner.

Noble Mission drifted on the exchanges - word must have got out that he needed the race - but he ran a great race on debut at Yarmouth. Definitely up to winning a race, most likely next start, so exciting to have Frankel's full-brother on the scene. A good-looking colt from what I could see.

Sounds like you had a good day. I don't mind what card you put up - enjoy whatever you post as it's always an interesting read.

    Have a good week.

    Regards,
    Jason

  4. Cheers for the quality comment Jason , well constructed and articulate , your obviously a proper racing fan and not some random mug punter, your the type of bloke i can talk horses with , which is great , regarading Noblee missions run, upto halfway racing wide of the main pack , he was motionless , absolutely cruising , then about two lengths down in 4th Swedish sailor set off and quickly opened up a 3-4length lead , NM then had to gather his stride back in and set off and then once his stride had lengthened back out he was galloping like a good un towards the end, coming 2nd but a good second and is def one for the future , not another frankel as they are entirely different animals but i do think better than his half brother ( bullet train )could be a derby type, was paddock watching that race and commitment ( many peoples nap of the day ) was lolling around with its tongue out and sweating very hard showing all the signs of something rather temperamental which was good for me as this was still 4.5 on betfair so i laid its bollocks off...it ran unplaced but an ok race, but paddock watching can quite often give you many clues to more profit , and yes today was like pretty much every day a day of profit, quite often is the case im not bothered about the winning or losing just the profit, and quite often theres easier and more proficient ways to attain a profit outside of the traditional laying and backing , this is what i do with my investors money and what i do on the bankroll members accounts, advising on the best bets for profit not for winners , the race cards are produced to offer your more traditional punter a few clues and quite often they use them for multis , yankees etc..so theres always a use as everyone has a different mindset and angle of attatck , this i have tried to show over the last year , sometimes with great success other times tragically shit , but my tagline is " you cannot win everytime , but you can win overtime ", which pretty much sums up my attitude towards betting , its a long game and a living for me , very rarely do i look to attain a quick buck or insta kill , the 365 challenge was meant to be my masterpiece , but i felt i had fucked around with the format so much that it just wasnt a correct enough gauge for success , i need another barometer , what ? , im not sure, maybe start a similar race card challenge using say £5k to start it and measure the pnl over level stakes thru the year?.
The tipping comp should be good fun , fingers crossed.
Starting a new fulltime race card membership blog also from nov 1st which will run in line with the investor blog , easy enough to set up and maintain and everything is done thru paypal so no management required , this is being done after many requests from people wanting just these , im not too sure how good this will be , time will tell , if the numbers are right it should be ok , offering race advice to 20-30 a time via skype/msn and email can get rather manic...but i suppose as long as we keeping making profit and keep winning and everyone is happy i must be doing something right....
Then their is my link up with Acheron ( aus ) which is time consuming but becoming very popular so yes there is plenty to keep me busy thru the days, however i always enjoy the comments and feedback , so keep it coming ;-) , thanks for following.

And to mr Anon , the more comments i get the more race cards i will post..simples , all you have to do i say hi..and hey presto!!...

  6. Hey MG,

Perhaps a smaller challenge such as from 2 - 1000 would be interesting to see.

    How about the Haydock card?
It's interesting to compare your results against my Leeson method (keep doubling up til you win big).

    Cheers,
    AL

  7. Hi Clint,

Thanks for your reply - great reading and insightful.

I specialise in two-year-old horse racing - as I'm sure you know - so I watch and review every race. Sir Henry Cecil is a quality trainer and Noble Mission will have his day so looking forward to see how his career progresses.

Yes, Committment did look rather hot at the start. I must admit I always try to keep away from temperamental horses. They often have ability but they make everything look hard work and usually give up when pressed. Ideal lay bets in ways.

I had an each way bet on Flaxen Flare (7/1) at Yarmouth. Balding's youngster couldn't quite cope with the late challenge of Toller's horse, the pair clear of the field. As long as a horse runs its race you can't ask much more than that.

    Thanks for the kind words.

    Keep up the good work.

    Kind regards,
    Jason
