Morning MOFO'S....

Hope you all had a great Weekend coz i know i did ;-) , Shame the weather was a tad poor but hey ho cant have everything i guess ;-/.
Now the Flat season has started in Earnest i shall produce 1 x Full Fat card the Main Meeting every Sat & Sun this will be published in the normal manner however the Blog will be locked to all bar those that send me an email between now and fri , just say hi and your name will be added to the unlock list...simples!!..., Once again all you have to do is drop me an email saying hi , let me in and you will have full viewing rights for the weekend ;-).
I wanna see how many people actually read the blog and are actually interested in what's going on and use the advice on offer or just enjoy the occasional good read.

For the remainder of this Month ( Barring Special Events, Group 1's and Festivals ) i will be back to concentrating solely on Maidens.
And if there is anyone out there that has knowledge on banking can you please explain to me why the fuck it takes 5 " working " days to clear an electronic transfer?? , i made a withdrawal last Friday and have been told today that it wont be " processed " until next Mon because of the Bank fucking Holiday...wtf?!?!....imo its a load of sweaty old bollocks.
Glad to see that Old Cuntface Abu Hamza has had his extradition appeal turned over and will now be sent to the USA and will likely spend the rest of his disgusting existence behind bars...Finally some sense in the world!.
Right on to today's racing and there are 6 Qualifying races to look at....

1.Southwell 14:30
32RedPoker.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes
£2500.00 added, 3-4yo, 7f, Class 6.
..A race that is a fair bit more competitive than it would appear at first glance of course there are 2 or 3 that can be instantly discounted and with quite a few looking exposed , slow or un genuine i think it would be prudent to look at the lightly run sorts with the most interesting being the Michael Bell trained ADVERSE this refuse to bend filly has the breeding to destroy these but was very tenderly ridden fto and this should have grown in stature and confidence now i am expecting a much improved show from this and fully expect it to be running to a level of at least 70.
Kinscombe and Fuchsia could be dangers with improvement forthcoming however i think that both Pearls from Sydney and Charlcot will provide the sterner tests and should Adverse not run as i expect then one of these two will most likely be picking up the pieces.

BACK - PEARLS FROM SYDNEY -  ( Unplaced @ 8.23 but hit 2.32 in running )
EW - ADVERSE -
MULTI - CHARLCOT - 2nd @ 10.0 ( hit 1.20 in running )

32 Free At 32Red.com Maiden Stakes
£3500.00 added, 2yo only, 5f, Class 5
.. A small 6 runner affair and i am instantly Discounting the only one with experience as it looked dog slow fto and is not one that interests me at all.
The 2 that interest me are the Bill Turner trained Hillybilly Boy and Stripped Bear , the former is from a trainer that does quite well with his early season Juveniles and is worth following in fact it was his Seven Bore that thrashed Khyber Bridge by 7 lengths so he will have a good angle on that and Stripped Bear is from the under rated Dascombe yard this cost £18k and in a race like this could prove a grade above although as we all know cost doesnt gtee success !! . Lady Raha and Somethingaboutmary i think will need more time and a step up in trip whilst the Easterby trained Crystal Cove could prove to be a danger.

BACK - STRIPPED BEAR - 2nd @ 6.20 ( hit 1.15 in running and the eventual winner somethingaboutmary hit 950.0 in running!! )

..An interesting race and Haywain is out again , this was " tipped up " to me from the owner Guy Reed fto but ran very flat i know he likes this horse but at 120.0 i would hazard a guess that its not really primed for a win today either?!, although i will have a very small EW on it " just in case " , it would appear judging the market that Niceofyoutotellme is a " sure thing " but im not so sure , certainly in terms of betting value i def dont think thats the case.
Niceofyoutotellme has a 2nd in its form where it was 10 lengths clear of the third Dynastic who is rated 77 and that form looks rock solid but 1.74....i dont think so i would be far happier taking the 1.81 on the Place Only for Kudooz this £85,000 purchase made a good fist of it fto just going down by over a length to a couple rated 70 and 72 which would suggest that there is not much to choose between them certainly when you compare the prices 1.74 and 7.40.
I also feel that the 75 rated Scarlet Whispers will do enough to worry the fav and shud the fav have any flaws i feel that one of these two will be taking advantage , for betting purposes the Place Only on KUDOOZ is the bet for me.

pontefract-races.co.uk Maiden Fillies' Stakes
£3500.00 added, 3yo only, 6f, Class 5
.. Wow this looks tricky and probably is the toughest of the day, although i could probably have my LOTD in this race as i have Trail of Tears on my " SWERVE " list ....Toodeloo looks interesting but ive not heard anything  about it but nearly all Guys horses are well bred sorts and will be ready to race.
It is very Interesting that "The managhan Hanaghan " rides LISERE instead of his old mate and ex guvners Sherry Cherie and im presuming that he would still be getting the cherry rides up north so one would think then that Lisere is looking like a winner , certainly has form to entitle it to be there.
Tooley Woods, Finesse and Elegant Girl could prove bothersome but i do feel that Lisere will have Her day today.

BACK - LISERE - 1st @ 2.90
EW - TOOLEY WOODS -
CRAZY EW PUNT* - TOODELOO @ 48.0 - ( went off at 27 , was 22 and 24 before, easy trade there.)
**Whilst updating Trail of Tears has now drifted to 4.9 and is a bit to big for a lay , maybe put an in running lay in at low odds?...2.52...hmm , what is interesting is the 1.94 on the Place Only...this is now quite tempting , i dont think it can win or indeed wants to but at just shy of evens it may be worth a go as i can see it being up there until getting worried out of it....will monitor.

..A small 5 runner field with 3 newcomers that look better suited to the NH game than flat on breeding very uninspiring indeed , 2 with experience one of which looks a complete dog and the other the fav OUT OF THE BLOCKS looks nailed on in this , was slowly out fto and at halfway you had no idea where it was going but as the leaders come back and he got into gear he stayed on nicely in the end to run into a close 3rd and i feel that form alone would be good enough to win this.

  1. Hi Clint,

You have my email so make sure you add it to your lock-in buddy list. Interesting race 2:00 Southwell. Turner said this horse was quite a good prospect and I always like this owner's juveniles with Turner. I will be watching but can see it having an element of ability. A few could show up. Dods doe pretty well with his on debut, quite a few manage to hit the frame. Watching race for me but exciting in its own little way. Hope Somethingboutmary goes well for Wildcard Racing. Have a good day.

  4. I will drop you an email. Great blog and I agree about the cheque processing time, I paid one in last Wednesday and it only cleared yesterday due to the bank holidays, who knew computer systems had bank holidays as well?

I'm dipping in and out of here, Facebook and Racing Twits a bit at the minute due to new horse seeming intent on building up a better relationship with my vet than me!
