Royal Ascot Day 2

So here we are again , im back at home and its not quite as warm as yesterday , but hey ho , the racing on offer still looks tasty....
Had a Great day out yesterday mucho Funno ;-@.....And some very decent profits were had...which is always nice .

Ascot 14:30 
Jersey Stakes (Group 3)
A relatively small field for what is a quite prestigious Group 3 , now the one thing to bear in mind with these races is that they are rarely contested by either horses in form or horses suited for this grade.
The second point may seem strange, but you see a horse that has a mark too high for hcaps has limited options , listed and low grade group is his/her home , not good enough for proper pattern class races but too high ( not nec' too good for ) for Hcaps...So you have to find a particular angle with these races.
Are there any real improver's , any laid out , any that absolutely hacked up last tinme out??.
And to make things harder still its over 7f which will be ideal for most if not all of these.
The Three i really like here are...
1.FURY 5.6 - NON - RUNNER -
A nice progressive colt who ran ok enough fto behind Frankel , was fancied in bits and pieces and is thought of quite highly , i dont hink this beast truly stays a well run 1m , i also think 7f will be ideal and has run a very respectable time over this distance , will run a very good race and i think is nailed on for a place.

2.CODEMASTER 4.0
This is my idea of the winner , Ran and Won over 7f twice and has run quicker over 7f than Frankel did when winning either the dewhurst or Greenham ( Frankel's winning time was 1m24 , Codemaster has won in 1m22 ) , that in my mind makes this a standout bet today and will def be either 1st or 2nd...i just will not have it that it wont place so represents a MAX EW BET , but a stand alone Win is also attractive @ 4.0 , if Frankel was in this race it would be 1/5...so to get 3/1-4/1 is an absolute steal imo.LUMP ON .

3.Strong Suit 13.5
Has it all to prove now after a lacklustre fto run , has it trained on ? , is it interested? ....if back to its best has every chance , just has too many ?? to answer.

One horse that imvho just has absolutely no chance whatsoever is WESTERN ARISTOCRAT and i make this a MAX LAY , yes it has won over 7f and may well be on the upgrade , but what did it win? , and when it won it was in a very slow time.....will have to improve over a stone to win, for me that is a no no!!.

Summary : MAX EW BET on CODEMASTER.

RESULT = 1st - Strong Suit 11/1
                  2nd - CODEMASTER 7/4
                  3rd - Western Aristocrat 9/2

Windsor Forest Stakes (Fillies' Group 2)
One of the toughest races of the day in which if any of the field won you wouldn't be surprised , a case can be made for all.
The first 2 to mention are Seta and Im a Dreamer both will run big big races but i do think this will be Frankies Day and SAJIHAA will take this , having lto split Midday and Timepiece that form is easily good enough to win here and has finished in front of im a dreamer before , and Seta is nothing more than a very good Hcapper....

Summary : MAX PLACE BET on SAJIHAA @ 1.88 , that imo is massive.
 RESULT - ALL THREE MENTIONED WERE UNPLACED , Sajihaa came 4th , just ran out of steam after getting swamped , My Lay was good , place bet 4th and lost...sigh.

Prince Of Wales's Stakes
A Disappointing turnout but if i had a horse good enough to tackle pattern races i would swerve this unless i had an arc winner in waiting as  SO YOU THINK is an absolute monster and should absolutely annihilate these , won in a gallops canter last time THIS will be The SHOCK of the meeting if this doesnt win and well at that, tbh i think 1.4 - 1.5 is massive this is free money as far as im concerned and i will be lumping on.
**No such thing as a dead cert in racing , this is a wealth warning lol *

Summary: This is all about , " how far will it win by "....Watch and enjoy , Back it for as much as you can afford!.
RESULT - SHOCK TIME!!! - 2nd - REWILDING 1st .....Outstayed the Fav, Favs do get beat....Hit 1.1 in running..

Royal Hunt Cup (Heritage Handicap) (Str)
A tough , super competitive hcap , very tough.
In this type of race i tend to look for a horse that has that X-Factor , a touch of class , something that stands it aside from the normal class hcapper...
i will break it down in my own inimitable style....
1.Fareer ( class horse )
2.Invincible Soul ( best big priced runner )
3.Point North ( Job Horse )
4.Super Say ( Dark Horse )
If i punting im looking at these 4 EW in this big field and will probably dutch them for a profit , very tough race to be confident in , and i cant nail any one horse in particular.
If pushed i would probably say Invincible Soul EW would be the outstanding bet ....but its a lottery to a certain degree, just keep the stakes small and enjoy.
RESULT - 0/4 All Unplaced , very strangely run race ......

Queen Mary Stakes (Fillies' Group 2)
A tough 2yr old race, but this is the race that holds my NAP for today ....SHUMOOS.....its form is outstanding, a cracking looking Filly who made yesterdays winner Frederick Engles look like a plater last time out...2.28 is a very short price in a race of this magnitude and normally i would be saying lay lay lay...but this horse is so good i cannot possibly advise anything other than a back bet to the MAX....i will be shocked if this doesnt win.

Summary : Shumoos to win..simples ;-)
RESULT - 2nd -One of those days......

Sandringham Handicap (Fillies' Listed) (Str)
A Very nice Hcap to round of the day , for the girls..and i like the look of Humdrum and Winters Night, but in a very open race im just not too sure on which way i will attack this race , gonna be looking at the place market for a dutch win bet....one of these two will def place......

Summary: Dutch win bet in the Place market on the two mentioned.
Result = 3rd and 5th so end on a winning note....;-)
