Sir Henry Cecil is on the crest of a wave and Timepiece can keep the good times rolling with victory at Warwick.
The Warren Place maestro was handed a knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours List and faces an important few days with Frankel spearheading his Royal Ascot team.
And on the eve of the crucial run for the Classic winner, stablemate Timepiece can confirm the yard is in good heart in the Voute Sales Warwickshire Oaks Stakes.
The four-year-old was thought good enough to line up in the Epsom Oaks last year but disappointed and has been kept to a lower level since.
She atoned for her Classic disappointment with a Listed win at Royal Ascot before following up in another similar event at Newmarket at the end of the year.
Pitched back into Pattern company on her seasonal bow at York in May, she was far from disgraced when third to multiple Group One-winning stablemate Midday.
Cecil then opted to give her a shot in a Group Three back at Epsom last time but she again ran below par and it seems the undulating Surrey venue just does not suit her.
She has a more straightforward task on her hands here and with a bit in hand on all her rivals, Timepiece would be a worthy favourite as she drops back to Listed class.
Result = 1st ( easily ) Happy Days ;-)
